“#Redemption’ Sets ‘Angel’ Reunion With James Marsters Guest Starring<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Christian Kane<\/a> already checked off the Librarians<\/em><\/a> reunion box with Noah Wyle<\/a> joining the original cast of Leverage<\/em><\/a> in the upcoming IMDb TV revival, Redemption<\/em>, and now he can check off the Angel<\/em><\/a> one as well with the latest casting news<\/a>.<\/p>\n

James Marsters<\/a> is set to guest star as \u201cCarl, a slick country club hustler who uses his conning of wealthy members to fund a much darker criminal enterprise,\u201d according to TVLine<\/em><\/a>, and its photo of his guest spot shows that he and fellow Angel<\/em> alum Kane (who plays the hitter Eliot Spencer) will share the screen.<\/p>\n

In addition to Kane, Gina Bellman (the grifter Sophie Devereaux), Beth Riesgraf (the thief Parker), and Aldis Hodge<\/a> (the hacker Alec Hardison) are returning from the original series<\/a> (which aired five seasons on TNT from 2008 to 2012 and can be rewatched on IMDb TV). Wyle is joining them as corporate lawyer Harry Sullivan, who\u2019s seeking redemption after realizing he\u2019s spent his entire career on the wrong side of the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s become easier \u2014 and sometimes legal \u2014 for the rich to become richer and the powerful to squash anyone who gets in their way,\u201d the series synopsis reads. Among the \u201cnew kind of villain\u201d they\u2019ll be facing are: \u201cthe man who created an opioid crisis from the comfort of his boardroom \u2026 the woman who prefers to deport workers instead of paying them \u2026 the shadowy security firm that helps hide dangerous secrets for a price.\u201d As before, our favorites will be there to \u201cprovide \u2026 Leverage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dean Devlin, Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan-Wilson, and Kate Rorick serve as executive producers, while John Rogers and Chris Downey are consulting producers.<\/p>\n

Marsters and Kane played Spike and Lindsey McDonald, respectively, on Angel<\/em> and both app<\/a>eared in the final season and the 2004 series finale. Marsters\u2019 other TV credits include The Order<\/em><\/a>, Hawaii Five-0<\/em><\/a>, Marvel\u2019s Runaways<\/em><\/a>, Smallville<\/em><\/a>, and Supernatural<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
