I\u2019ve been using this device over the last few weeks and its design and primary camera have impressed me.<\/p>\n<p>The Mi 11 could be a good phone for anyone looking to spend less than $800. Before we talk more about the phone, let\u2019s take a look at its magnificent spec sheet.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Specifications\"><\/span>Specifications<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Screen:\u00a0<\/strong>6.81-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Refresh rate:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>120Hz<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Processor:<\/strong><span>\u00a0Qualcomm Snapdragon<\/span> 888<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>RAM:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>8GB<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Rear camera:\u00a0<\/strong>108-megapixel wide sensor with f\/1.85 aperture + 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor with f\/2.4 aperture (123-degree field of view) + 5-megapixel\u00a0telemacro camera f\/2.4<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Front camera:\u00a0<\/strong>20-megapixel with f\/2.2 aperture<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Internal storage:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>128GB\/256GB<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Security:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>In-screen fingerprint sensor; face unlock<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Battery:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>4,600 mAh<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Charging:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>55W wired fast charging; 50W wireless fast charging<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats_good\"><\/span>What\u2019s good?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>While plenty of people hate curved screens, I think it adds to a phone\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eal. And the Mi 11\u2019s quad-curve design makes it look stunning. The screen is protected by Corning\u2019s Gorilla Glass Victus \u2014 also used in Samsung\u2019s Galaxy S21 series. So, the phone is tough and resistant to scratches.<\/p>\n<p>On the back, the combo of frosted glass and horizon blue color looks gorgeous. I might have been disappointed if I had received a midnight gray or white unit.<\/p>\n<p>The phone is tall and sleek, which means one-handed holding and usage are easy. You might not reach the top of the screen every time, but you can easily adjust your grip or use your second hand for that.<\/p>\n<p>Xiaomi has upped its screen <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> over the last few years and the Mi 11\u2019s display is gorgeous. Colors are vibrant without being overly saturated, which makes daily usage and watching videos fun. Plus, the 120Hz refresh rate enhances the overall experience. The company claims that the display could go up to 1,500 nits of brightness. I didn\u2019t have the equipment to test these numbers, but I found the display to be bright enough for outdoor usage.<\/p>\n<p>The Snapdragon 888 delivers great performance, and it breezed through multi-tasking, taking photos, using <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a>, and gaming. I played <em>Call of Duty Mobile<\/em> without any lags, and the dual speakers powered by Harman-Kardon made the gameplay \u2014 and of course videos \u2014 better.<\/p>\n<p>Often 108-megapixel cameras are good at just stat-padding in marketing material for the company. Xiaomi\u2019s 108-megapixel snapper does its job well, though. Daylight pictures are sharp, detailed, and punchy. If you\u2019re taking landscape photos without focusing on a particular subject, you may want to switch to the 108-megapixel mode to get slightly better colors and object details.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you\u2019re taking photos of trees, you might notice that on occasions, the camera misses the mark on dynamic range \u2014 but it\u2019s not horrible.\u00a0Portrait photos are good, but a dedicated depth sensor would\u2019ve added a bit more spice to them.<\/p>\n<p>Night performance is commendable \u2014 but not as good as iPhones or Pixels. The camera captures decent details, but we could see a lot of noise in these photos too. There\u2019s also a supermoon mode, which is slightly gimmicky, but fun.<\/p>\n<p>The wide-angle camera loses out on colors, but it might be okay to use for nature-themed landscapes.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_could_be_improved\"><\/span>What could be improved?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of my biggest complaints about this phone is the inconsistent fingerprint sensor. It failed multiple times in my usage, and it makes unlocking \u2014 one of the most mundane tasks of using a phone \u2014 a hassle. Xiaomi needs to put a better sensor in the phone for its next device.<\/p>\n<p>While MIUI 12 looks sleek, it\u2019s definitely not bug-free. Most notably, a lot of apps, including Nova Launcher, don\u2019t play with the punch-hole camera placed on the side and we have a weird black spot on the screen staring at us. Buttons for a quick reply under notifications were also misaligned, and it felt just annoying. As many reviewers have noted in their stories, corners are cut weirdly, resulting in a slightly asymmetrical screen around those areas. But better software optimization could get a bit more out of that 4,600 mAh pack.<\/p>\n<p>In the camera department, lack of telephoto lens is disappointing, so you\u2019d be disappointed in zoomed in photos. The macro camera is not the dumpster fire I\u2019ve seen in some other devices, but a very few photos turn out good.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whos_it_for\"><\/span>Who\u2019s it for?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Mi 11 is a superb value-for-money phone for\u00a0<span>\u20ac749 \u2014 just like a lot of Xiaomi phones. It has a stunning screen, a beautiful design, and a good camera. <\/span>Sure, you won\u2019t get high-quality photos to print out and stick them to your wall, but they\u2019ll look good on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p><span>If you don\u2019t want to spend Samsung or Apple money, it\u2019s a satisfying alternative without losing too much. Because of its specs, it\u2019ll also challenge the upcoming OnePlus 9. A deciding factor for a lot of people would be the real-life performance of the OnePlus-Hasselblad cameras and battery life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Apart from this, the Mi 11 has nice extras such as a 55W GaN charger and dual speakers. They are not game-changing but certainly nice to have features.<\/p>\n<p>The phone is currently available in just China and Europe. There\u2019s a also chance it might <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/gadgets.ndtv.com\/mobiles\/news\/redmi-k40-pro-plus-mi-11x-india-launch-11i-xiaomi-china-2391894\">land in India in a month<\/a>.
