Since then, BAL has rallied 122% to set a new all-time high at $64.99 on March 18. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-03\/7b4c1259-380b-45af-a6ad-944cfb5aa9dd.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>BAL\/USDT 4-hour chart. Source: <\/em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/BALUSDT\/\"><em>TradingView<\/em><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Balancer was able to separate itself from the extended slump experienced by DeFi tokens thanks to multiple partnerships and protocol upgrades that seek to address some of the biggest concerns facing decentralized finance, including high transaction costs on the Ethereum (ETH) network. <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Balancer_20_excites_the_DeFi_community\"><\/span>Balancer 2.0 excites the DeFi community<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Significant momentum for Balancer began building in late January when the protocol <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BalancerLabs\/status\/1353839684057706496\">implemented<\/a> Balancer Exchange Gas Reimbursements as a way to help ease high transaction costs. <\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 2, the project began <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BalancerLabs\/status\/1356638860231475205\">tweeting<\/a> about Balancer 2.0 and the various features that would be included like a protocol vault, gas efficiency and resilient oracles.<\/p>\n<p>Balancer also\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BalancerLabs\/status\/1364251466773504004\">announced<\/a> a partnership with Aave (AAVE) to create the Balancer V2 Asset Manager, a hybrid automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pool and lending product. <\/p>\n<p>VORTECS\u2122 data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro began to detect a bullish outlook for BAL on March 12, prior to the recent price rise. <\/p>\n<p>The VORTECS\u2122 score, exclusive to Cointelegraph, is an algorithmic comparison of historic and current market conditions derived from a combination of data points including market sentiment, trading volume, recent price movements and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> activity.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-03\/b5c320a3-52bd-4409-bbf6-6374dec0dbef.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>VORTECS\u2122 Score (green) vs. BAL price.
