photog<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> has been granted \u201czero access\u201d at the US-Mexico border under President Biden, according to a Getty Images photographer on the ground at the crossing.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists have flocked to the border in recent weeks to cover the crisis as tens of thousands of Central American migrants \u2014 including unaccompanied children \u2014 attempted the dangerous journey.<\/p>\n<p>But, according to lensman John Moore, they\u2019ve encountered restrictive conditions, with US authorities hampering their ability to tell the story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI respectfully ask US Customs and Border Protection to stop blocking media access to their border operations,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jbmoorephoto\/status\/1372924066894651392\">tweeted Moore on Friday<\/a>. \u201cI have photographed CBP under Bush, Obama and Trump but now \u2013 zero access is granted to media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the thread, Moore included dramatic shots of the crossing \u2014 which, unable to work in the US, he said he took from the Mexican side of the border using a telephoto lens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntil now, US photojournalists haven\u2019t needed to stand in another country to photograph what\u2019s h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening \u2013 in the United States,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jbmoorephoto\/status\/1373223531052474373\">he href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jbmoorephoto\/status\/1373324786621935621\">have been escorted away<\/a> from the crossing by Border Patrol agents recently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no modern precedent for a full physical ban on media access to CBP border operations,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jbmoorephoto\/status\/1372929029209198593\">he wrote<\/a>. \u201cTo those who might say, cut them some slack \u2013 they are dealing with a situation, I\u2019d say that showing the US response to the current immigrant surge is exactly the media\u2019s role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPhotographing Border Patrol agents and immigrant encounters can and has been done respectfully without interfering with operations,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jbmoorephoto\/status\/1372930795548082179\">he continued<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Moore also rejected the idea that such restrictions could be justified under coronavirus regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd Pandemic restrictions are not a valid excuse to block physical media access, especially to operations that are outside,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jbmoorephoto\/status\/1372931824440250375\">he wrote<\/a>. \u201cThere are politicized environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden administration officials have repeatedly promised media access to conditions at the border \u2014 including inside facilities where detained children are being kept \u2014 but are yet to put a hard date on when reviews can begin.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday morning, Fox News host Chris Wallace sparred with H\u200bomeland\u00a0Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the issue, questioning why reporters couldn\u2019t accompany Mayorkas on his own border visit last week.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas fell back on the pandemic to explain the lack of access, data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> to the border.<\/p>\n<p>During a ride-along\u00a0with Texas\u2019 Hidalgo County Sheriff\u2019s Office last week, a Post reporter saw Border Patrol agents investigate a home believed to be used as a stash house for stolen cars and smuggled migrants. <\/p>\n<p>The agents explicitly told The Post not to photograph them.<\/p>\n<p>Later, deputies from the Hidalgo County Constable\u2019s Office similarly warned against taking photo or video of Border Patrol personnel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just orders they have also, because I guess they don\u2019t want to admit it\u2019s a crisis going on,\u201d speculated one deputy, noting that the camera-shy directive was handed down to Border Patrol last month, when photography had \u201cnot really\u201d been seen as a problem in the past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t want anything leaking out,\u201d
