A forthcoming government report will detail a number of \u201cdifficult to explain\u201d UFO sightings, former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said in a recent interview.<\/p>\n

Ratcliffe, the top intelligence official under former President Donald Trump, was asked about about incidents involving unidentified flying objects on Fox News<\/a> Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a lot more sightings than have been made public,\u201d he told host Maria Bartiromo. \u201cSome of those have been declassified.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd when we talk about sightings,\u201d Ratcliffe continued, \u201cwe are talking about objects that have been seen by Navy or Air Force pilots, or have been picked up by satellite imagery that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMovements that are hard to replicate that we don\u2019t have the technology<\/a> for. Or travel<\/a>ing at speeds that exceed the sound barrier without a sonic boom.\u201d<\/p>\n

His remarks came several months after the Pentagon declassified three well-known UFO videos, acknowledging that the footage was shot by US Navy pilots.<\/p>\n

In the interview, Ratcliffe said the sightings, which have been reported across the globe, extend beyond \u201cjust a pilot or just a satellite, or some intelligence collection.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUsually we have multiple sensors that are picking up these things \u2026 some of these are unexplained phenomenon, and there is actually quite a few more than have been made public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The new Pentagon report is expected to be released by June 1, Bartiromo said during the interview.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s after then-president Trump in December signed the $2.3 trillion\u00a0COVID-19 relief and government funding bill, which started a 180-day countdown for the Pentagon and spy agencies to say what they know about UFOs.<\/p>\n

Ratcliffe said he had hoped to release the information before the administration\u2019s departure from the White House in January, but \u201cwe weren\u2019t able to get it down into an unclassified format that we could talk about quickly enough.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
