“#Pok\u00e9mon GO Developer Niantic Has a Pikmin AR Game<\/a> in the Works<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

When Pok\u00e9mon GO <\/i><\/b>launched, it encouraged\u00a0a lot of people that normally wouldn’t walk around quite as much to get out and stay\u00a0active. Now developer Niantic is hoping for something similar with its latest AR project, this time based around the Pikmin <\/i><\/b>series<\/a> of games.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Details are slim at the moment, but pre-registration is available now<\/span><\/a> for the Pikmin <\/i>AR app<\/a>, which is supposed to go live sometime later this year. This will be the first app from Niantic Tokyo Studio, which was established in April of 2018.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Niantic followed up on Nintendo’s announcement with one of its own<\/span><\/a>, adding that the Pikmin <\/i>experience will “include gameplay activities to encourage walking and make walking more delightful.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
