WarnerMedia isn\u2019t backing down from fans who are demanding that the studio #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and #ReleaseTheAyerCut. <\/p>\n

Following the recent release of \u201cZack Snyder\u2019s Justice League\u201d on HBO Max<\/a>, fans have been campaigning via social media for Warner Brothers to release director David Ayer\u2019s version of 2016\u2019s \u201cSuicide Squad\u201d and to allow Snyder to direct his own film versions of DC superhero comics.<\/p>\n

But WarnerMedia Studios executives have condemned the toxic behavior demonstrated by fans after the studio heads were harassed and sent threats for seemingly not endorsing the Snyder version of \u201cJustice League.\u201d <\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0Variety<\/a>, WarnerMedia CEO Ann Sarnoff spoke out against the DC fandom and their abuse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not tolerating any of that. That behavior is reprehensible no matter what franchise you\u2019re talking about or what business you\u2019re talking about. It\u2019s completely unacceptable. I\u2019m very disapp<\/a>ointed in the fans that have chosen to go to that negative place with regard to DC, with regard to some of our executives,\u201d Sarnoff told the outlet. \u201cIt\u2019s just disappointing because we want this to be a safe place to be. We want DC to be a fandom that feels safe and inclusive. We want people to be able to speak up for the things they love, but we don\u2019t want it to be a culture of canceling things that any small faction isn\u2019t happy with. We are not about that. We are about positivity and celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sarnoff also shot down any rumors of future Snyder projects for a \u201cJustice League\u201d trilogy. She added that she appreciates how much fans love Snyder\u2019s work and she is \u201cvery thankful for his many contributions to DC.\u201d\u00a0However, she revealed that the release of \u201cZack Snyder\u2019s Justice League\u201d marks \u201cthe completion\u201d of the director\u2019s DC films after 2013\u2019s \u201cMan of Steel\u201d and 2016\u2019s \u201cBatman v Superman.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sarnoff continued, \u201cWe\u2019re very happy we\u2019ve done this, but we\u2019re very excited about the plans we have for all the multi-dimensional DC characters that are being developed right now.\u201d <\/p>\n

She also said there are no plans to develop Ayer\u2019s \u201cSuicide Squad\u201d cut. In addition, the studio executive revealed why the company decided to finally release Snyder\u2019s revamped version four years after the original was released in theaters.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to give Zack the opportunity to complete his vision in a four-hour movie, which is impossible to do in theaters. We\u2019re happy that we have HBO Max to let the rope out as it were and allow the fans to see all four hours of Zack\u2019s vision,\u201d she said. Snyder left \u201cJustice League\u201d and was replaced by Joss Whedon because his daughter, Autumn, died by suicide. <\/p>\n

\u201cZack Snyder\u2019s Justice League\u201d is now streaming on HBO Max.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
