“#Brad Pitt Bullet Train Stunts Will Be Performed by the Actor \u2013 \/Film<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Brad Pitt<\/strong> knows a thing or two about stuntmen. Last year he collected a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of a late \u201960s stuntman in Quentin Tarantino\u2019s\u00a0Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/em> \u2014 a new career high for the 57-year-old actor. And perhaps that brush with the stunt industry might have awakened something in Pitt, who will app<\/a>arently be performing his own stunts in the upcoming David Leitch-directed action thriller\u00a0Bullet Train<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Greg Rementer \u2013 the second-unit director and stunt coordinator on\u00a0Bullet Train,<\/em>\u00a0which is now wrapping production \u2013 revealed to\u00a0Vulture<\/a>, that Pitt performed \u201c95% of his physical stunts\u201d while playing the hitman named Ladybug in the film:<\/p>\n

\u201cBrad did 95 percent of his physical stunts \u2014 the fighting. He\u2019s like a natural-born athlete. He really got in there!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is not totally surprising, considering Leitch\u2019s catalog of action films that allow stars like Charlize Theron, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham to really get their hands dirty \u2014 Leitch and his fellow former stuntman and\u00a0John Wick<\/em> director Chad Stahelski emphasize training their actors to actually engage in the fight choreography. \u201cYou need those actors to want to do it, otherwise you won\u2019t get those genuine characters on the screen,\u201d Leitch had said<\/a> ahead of the release of Atomic Blonde<\/em>. \u201cI have found with the stuff we\u2019ve been doing in our directorial careers is getting the actors trained up and keeping them in the action as much as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it seems most of the star-studded ensemble \u2014 which includes\u00a0Sandra Bullock<\/strong>,\u00a0Joey King<\/strong>,\u00a0Andrew Koji<\/strong>,\u00a0Aaron Taylor-Johnson<\/strong>,\u00a0Brian Tyree Henry<\/strong>,\u00a0Zazie Beetz<\/strong>,\u00a0Masi Oka<\/strong>,\u00a0Michael Shannon<\/strong>,\u00a0Lady Gaga<\/strong>,\u00a0Logan Lerman<\/strong>,\u00a0Hiroyuki Sanada<\/strong>,\u00a0Karen Fukuhara<\/strong>, and\u00a0Bad Bunny<\/strong> \u2014 are game<\/a> to keep in the action alongside Pitt, according to Rementer, who added:<\/p>\n

\u201cNever have I ever done so many huge actors in one feature where all of them excelled at the physical movement of our training. So Brad, Brian, Michael Shannon, Hiroyuki Sonada, Andrew Koji \u2014 who was already a stud in terms of where he comes from with the show\u00a0Warrior<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 all these actors put out some great action and did a lot of their [own] stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Of course, it\u2019s likely that Pitt and the other stars aren\u2019t allowed to do the really dangerous stuff \u2014 that\u2019s likely just for the pros \u2014 just the physical fights, which can be grueling enough. So we\u2019re probably not going to see any Tom Cruise-level antics from Pitt anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Bullet Train<\/em> is based on the\u00a0Japanese graphic novel\u00a0Maria Beetle\u00a0<\/em>by Kotaro Isaka and centers on half a dozen hitmen from various criminal factions who board the same titular train.\u00a0Bullet Train<\/em>\u00a0doesn\u2019t have a release date yet, but we\u2019ll likely learn that soon as the film starts to wrap production.<\/p>\n
