It\u2019s Peeps season so get ready to drink it all in.<\/p>\n

The famed pastel-colored marshmallows are a common staple during springtime and Easter, and now Pepsi is getting in on the action.<\/p>\n

Peeps supplies were limited last year due to the pandemic, but the pillowy, sugary chicks are back again, and Pepsi is incorporating the well-known flavor into a new soda drink.<\/p>\n

The limited-edition marshmallow-flavored cola, however, won\u2019t be in the supermarket aisles just yet.<\/p>\n

The 7.5-ounce yellow, pink and blue Pepsi mini-cans will come in packs of three, and the beverage brand believes it \u201cwill most certainly have fans buzzing all season long.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans all over social media<\/a> are divided and have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. While some are simply grossed out by the unlikely combo, some are all for it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One user tweeted out<\/a>, \u201cCant think of a more horrible combination! Well done you guys \u2014 Pineapp<\/a>le on Pizza take a back seat \u2013 we have a winner \u2013 channeling my inner 3 year old \u2013 ewww!\u00a0#avtweeps\u00a0Is this an April fools thing?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another person\u00a0tweeted<\/a>, \u201cI don\u2019t like Pepsi and I don\u2019t like Peeps.\u00a0 Hard pass.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou bet your buttons I\u2019ll be trying the Peeps Pepsi,\u201d\u00a0wrote another.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Several commenters even mentioned that Peeps and Pepsi missed out on calling the new drink \u201cPeepsi.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA seasonal marshmallow treat and the second best soda brand combine and they don\u2019t call the flavour Peepsi? Y\u2019all messed up,\u201d\u00a0a user said.<\/a><\/p>\n

Another fan\u00a0exclaimed<\/a>, \u201cFirst of all: EWWWW. Second of all, why DAFUQ is it NOT called \u201cPEEPSI\u201d? What a missed opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow they didn\u2019t think to call it PEEPSI is beyond me,\u201d\u00a0said one fan.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, Todd Kaplan, VP of marketing for Pepsi, said he hopes the new collab will make people happy after a \u201cdifficult\u201d year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter what has been a very difficult year, many consumers are looking for new things to smile about.\u00a0So, to celebrate the start of springtime, Pepsi collaborated with Peeps to develop a limited batch of its first-ever marshmallow cola,\u201d said Kaplan. \u201cWe know our consumers love our limited product drops, and we believe that PEPSI x PEEPS will deliver an iconic and delicious pairing that has the potential to become a fan favorite.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peeps brand manager Caitlin Servian further elaborated on the\u00a0sweet<\/em>\u00a0collaboration. \u201cThe Peeps brand always finds great joy in teaming up with partners to bring our beloved Marshmallow flavor to fans in new and exciting ways, which is why we\u2019re thrilled to collaborate with PEPSI on this limited-edition PEPSI x PEEPS beverage leading up to the Easter holiday.\u201d<\/p>\n

For those who are less skeptical, fans can enter the national PEPSI x PEEPS sweepstakes to win some by using the hashtag \u201c#HangingWithMyPEEPS\u201d on their social-media platforms. The rules state that users can share photos having some springtime fun \u201cin a safe, socially distant manner.\u201d The sweepstakes begins Thursday, and while it\u2019s uncertain how many packs of the soda will be awarded, the brands also announced that 10 winners will receive \u201can epic collector\u2019s package of\u00a0PEPSI\u00a0x PEEPS.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t Peeps\u2019 first rodeo in the collab world. The candy brand has joined forces with other products such as Oreos, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Crocs in the past to bring more spring cheer to fans.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
