\n New York\u2019s coronavirus cases fell again Sunday, just two days after there were an alarming new 918 infections, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.<\/p>\n

The new cases statewide dropped to 533, closer to the state\u2019s numbers before the spike on Friday, which was the highest since mid-June.<\/p>\n

New infections were at 391 on June 29, then jumped to 918 on Friday, before falling again to 726 on July 4.<\/p>\n

Eight coronavirus-related deaths were recorded on Sunday, bringing the statewide numbers to 32,157.<\/p>\n

The new figures come after Cuomo encouraged New Yorkers on the Fourth of July to continue wearing masks.<\/p>\n
