\nJoe Exotic<\/strong> and Dillon Passage<\/strong>\u2019s marriage is over.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the 25-year-old took to Instagram<\/strong> to reveal he and the Tiger King<\/em> star are \u201cseeking a divorce\u201d after three years together.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo answer the main question the public wants to know, yes, Joe and I are seeking a divorce. This wasn\u2019t an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand that this situation isn\u2019t fair to either of us. It\u2019s something that neither of us were expecting but we are going to take it day by day. We are on good terms still and I hope it can stay that way. I will continue to have Joe in my life and do my best to support him while he undergoes further legal battles to better his situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Passage also detailed how he first met Exotic in November of 2017 \u201cduring a difficult time\u201d in his life, and the pair got hitched a month later. Then, the big cat enthusiast got sentenced to 22 years in prison for plotting a murder-for-hire against nemesis Carole Baskin<\/strong>, among other charges in September of 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the last two and a half years, we have been apart. I\u2019ve always stood by his side and will continue to always love and support him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He continued to explain when the Netflix<\/strong> docuseries<\/a> was released his \u201clife was thrown into a world of media<\/a> and public attention. Something that was completely foreign to me. I felt as if I had a microscope constantly looming over me which was and still is incredibly uncomfortable. With everyone pulling me in different directions.\u201d<\/p>\n

The personality added that he doesn\u2019t \u201cfeel obligated\u201d to share his private matters with the world, \u201cdespite Joe taking to social media to air every grievance. I don\u2019t feel it\u2019s the healthiest way to handle private matters between two people.\u201d Passage then noted how he doesn\u2019t plan to speak of the split moving forward.<\/p>\n
