A star of the hit Netflix series<\/a> \u201cTiger King\u201d suffered a stroke at an Oklahoma casino that he believes was a result of someone poisoning him, according to a stunning report Friday.<\/p>\n

Jeff Lowe, 53 \u2014 a former business partner of flamboyant zoo owner Joe Exotic \u2014 collapsed into an unresponsive state at the WinStar World Casino at 3 a.m. March 18 and had to be airlifted to a hospital, according to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought he was dying in my arms,\u201d his wife, Lauren, told the entertainment news<\/a> site.<\/p>\n

Hours before the frightening incident, the couple was out to dinner in the city of Thackerville when a man claimed to know them, she said.<\/p>\n

He lingered around Lowe when a crowd of \u201cTiger King\u201d fans surrounded him to snap selfies, raising Lauren\u2019s suspicions \u2014 and leading her to believe he may have spiked his drink, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n

Lowe was rushed to a hospital, where he underwent a series of tests and spent three days recovering, she said. He is still having trouble with some parts of his speech and movement.<\/p>\n

Blood and urine tests came back negative for commonly abused drugs, but Lauren suspects the possible attacker may have used a less-traceable substance.<\/p>\n

Doctors have not determined the cause of the stroke, and the couple has not reported the incident to cops.<\/p>\n

In January, a federal judge ordered Lowe \u2014 who took over the zoo featured in the popular docuseries \u2014 to relinquish his tiger cubs due to alleged animal abuse and neglect.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
