Former\u00a0President Trump\u00a0sat down with Judge Jeanine Pirro for an exclusive\u00a0interview that will air on Fox News<\/a>\u2019\u00a0\u201cJustice with Judge Jeanine\u201d Saturday at 9 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people want me to\u201d visit the border, Trump told Pirro.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the interview, Trump says that he will probably visit the southern border over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Trump called Biden\u2019s undoing of the \u201cRemain in Mexico\u201d policy, or the Migrant Protection Protocol, a \u201cvery bad decision.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Trump administration\u00a0set up and expanded MPP<\/a>\u00a0during the 2019 migrant crisis as part of a broader\u00a0agreement with Mexico, and hailed it as a key plank in its efforts to end \u201ccatch-and-release\u201d \u2014 by which migrants were released into the interior of the U.S.<\/p>\n

Instead, MPP keeps migrants in Mexico as they await their asylum\u00a0hearings. Proponents say the policy ended a key pull factor that brought migrants north, while critics say it is cruel and puts migrants in danger by leaving them in Mexico.<\/p>\n

\u201cThousands and thousands of people are coming up right now as we speak. And you\u2019re going to have millions of people pouring into our country. And it\u2019s going to destroy our country,\u201d Trump told Pirro.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump said the first thing Biden should do is reenact the \u201cRemain in Mexico\u201d policy and complete the border wall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump said that Mexico is now \u201cvery angry at us.\u201d \u201cWe\u2019re not getting along with Mexico any longer. You have a great president of Mexico who was fantastic to me,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

President Biden has said that Mexico is refusing to take in all of the families that the U.S. tries to expel after they attempt to cross at the southern border. Biden said that his administration is in negotiations with\u00a0Mexican President\u00a0Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador on the matter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSome families are not going back because Mexico is refusing to take them back. Some, not all,\u201d the president said in his first news conference on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in negotiations with Mexico. That\u2019s going to change. They should all be going back,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Last week Trump accused Biden of causing \u201cdeath and human tragedy\u201d by undoing some of his border policies, which Biden had deemed inhumane.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe proudly handed the Biden Administration the most secure border in history,\u201d the statement reads. \u201d All they had to do was keep this smooth-running system on autopilot.\u00a0 Instead, in the span of a just few weeks, the Biden Administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster. They are in way over their heads and taking on water fast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Republicans have been urging President Biden to visit the border to experience firsthand the overwhelmed facilities amid a border surge. After visiting the border, Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., penned a letter to the president imploring him to take a trip<\/a> south.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe crisis surrounding this surge makes it a moral imperative for you to see firsthand what is happ<\/a>ening\u2014and not the sanitized version of the border tour taken by some of my congressional colleagues,\u201d Braun wrote. \u201cHaving personally gone this week, I can testify to this being an inhumane, unsustainable and dangerous situation.<\/p>\n

The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities have been operating far beyond capacity amid a troubling surge in border crossers. The agency announced that it had encountered more than 100,000 migrants at the border in February, while numbers of child migrants in custody have also increased dramatically.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
