It comes just as the whole family is dealing with new stresses, from their move Flagstaff, Arizona, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> distancing they need to maintain due to COVID. But for Kody and Meri, those factors are really just the tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n<p>On the March 28 episode on TLC, Kody gave his side of the story, saying that he and Meri \u201csort of saw our marriage just dissolve\u201d after she struck up a relationship with an online catfish in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve never come back together from that,\u201d Meri admitted, saying she didn\u2019t handle the situation Well. But she also said she had felt a coldness coming from him since before the incident.<\/p>\n<p>And Meri was all in on the marriage as recently as December 2020, when she posted the following <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CIa4Dkjhe0K\/\">on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cMy relationship with him is <em>my<\/em> relationship with him,\u201d she wrote at the time. \u201cSure, we\u2019ve had ups and downs through the years. I mean, isn\u2019t that somewhat normal? High highs and low lows. \u2026 But here\u2019s my truth. I love him. I love my family. I\u2019m committed. I have 30 years in this. \u2026 I\u2019m not going anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whatever their status, it\u2019s clear these two, for good or bad, will always be connected. Here\u2019s a timeline that shows the highs, the lows, and the reasons for hope.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lightening_Strikes_1989\"><\/span>Lightening Strikes (1989)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>According to a TLC bio, Meri \u2014 who was raised in a polygamous family \u2014 met Kody in October 1989 after a new friend \u2014 who just h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened to be Kody\u2019s sister \u2014 introduced them. Meri and Kody spent a lot of time together over the next two months, and Meri realized that he reciprocated her feelings for him. \u201cHe would make little leading comments to me,\u201d she said. \u201cHe would look at me with a crooked smile and a wink. They were married in April 1990, at the tender ages of 19 (Meri) and 22. \u201cCrazy! (Kody currently has 18 children.) But after years of trying, and coming to terms with her situation, she found out she was pregnant. Heartbreakingly, she suffered a miscarriage in 2008. \u201cThe doctor just said, \u2018This is not a viable pregnancy,\u2019\u201d Kody recalled. on teh show. \u201cWe were just back to a dark place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Added Meri, \u201cI was so frustrated and so angry. And I trusted him.
