Now, as more and more vaccines are distributed in Canada, the criteria for snagging an <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointment are expanding, resulting in some wildly disparate qualifications depending on where you live in Canada. For example, on March 23, Ontario released the latest iteration of its Phase 2 mass immunization plan, <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.health.gov.on.ca\/en\/pro\/programs\/publichealth\/coronavirus\/covid19_vaccine.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which grouped<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eligible \u201cessential workers who cannot work from home\u201d into two very detailed categories, for example,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with \u201celementary\/secondary school workers (including educators, custodial, school bus drivers, administrative staff)\u201d in the first group and \u201cessential and critical retail workers (including grocery, food bank and non-clinical pharmacy workers, ServiceOntario workers, ServiceCanada and Passport Canada workers, wholesalers and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> goods, restaurant workers, LCBO)\u201d in the second. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As well, it outlined which specific<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">medical conditions qualify Ontarians for the three categories of \u201cindividuals with health conditions\u201d (for example,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">those with \u201cKidney disease eGFR&lt; 30\u201d are in the \u201chighest-risk\u201d category). And yet, though some of those details are on the province\u2019s<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/covid-19.ontario.ca\/ontarios-covid-19-vaccination-plan#our-three-phased-vaccination-plan\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">public vaccination plan site<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, many of the specifics are only found on the <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.health.gov.on.ca\/en\/pro\/programs\/publichealth\/coronavirus\/covid19_vaccine.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCOVID-19 Vaccine-Relevant Information and Planning Resources\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> page of the \u201chealth care professionals\u201d section of the Ministry of Health site. In other words, not the first place you\u2019d look.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>RELATED:\u00a0What can Canadians do after getting the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further, the variety of vaccination criteria and the speed at which they are evolving can be both confusing and overwhelming. In Toronto, there are registration processes (and criteria) for each of the city\u2019s 26 hospital clinics (such as this <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/unityhealth.to\/covid-19-vaccination-at-unity-health\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one from Unity Health<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), another process <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-protect-yourself-others\/covid-19-vaccines\/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated\/?accordion=city-immunization-clinics\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for its mass vaccination sites<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and still another for the <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/toronto.ctvnews.ca\/ontario-lowering-age-threshold-for-covid-19-vaccinations-to-75-monday-expanding-pharmacy-rollout-1.5353742\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shots available at select pharmacies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to say nothing of <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/news\/toronto-covid-19-vaccination-update-18\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pop-up clinics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in hard-hit areas. (Though, to be fair, the city\u2019s size of three million people is bigger than the combined populations of all four provinces of Atlantic Canada.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In contrast, Prince Edward Island has perhaps the clearest, most concise <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.princeedwardisland.ca\/en\/information\/health-and-wellness\/getting-covid-19-vaccine\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eligibility and appointment booking information<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of any province. Near the top of its main page, in a yellow highlighted box,<\/span> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.princeedwardisland.ca\/en\/information\/health-and-wellness\/getting-covid-19-vaccine\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">P.E.I. asks those in age cohorts to book based by birth month<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. So, starting on March 29, everyone 65 to 69 years old who were born in January, February and March could book an appointment, with those born in April to June asked to wait until Tuesday to schedule their shots. (On March 29, P.E.I. temporarily suspended its AstraZeneca program, which had been focused on young essential workers aged 18-29,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">after a new recommendation from the National Advisory Committee on Immunizations that the AstraZeneca vaccine only be given to people 55 and older because of a low risk of blood clots in younger adults.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>RELATED:\u00a0Everyone hates a queue jumper. But are Canada\u2019s current vaccine queues fair?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is some basic advice to make the process less confusing and stressful:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Focus on your own province or, for provinces with bigger populations, your own public health unit.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go directly to a government or PHU site by typing its name (Saskatchewan, Peel Region) and \u201cvaccine.\u201d Most have vaccination program landing pages, with links to eligibility requirements. There are also hotlinks for each province provided below.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spend time reading the information and navigating around the vaccine information and booking pages. That will make booking an appointment a lot more efficient. For instance, <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/covid-19\/vaccine\/seniors\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">British Columbia outlines exactly what information<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a person needs to make an appointment, including a Personal Health Number, if available, as well as what information will never be asked (SIN or banking details).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When in doubt, ask for help: Ask friends, family, relations and also call provincial and municipal governments. Some residents in apartment buildings are helping neighbours book appointments.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>British Columbia: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/covid-19\/vaccine\/plan\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the main page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which includes eligibility criteria, the \u201cCall to get vaccinated\u201d button throws <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/covid-19\/vaccine\/seniors\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">users to a booking page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with links to local health units, who are handling the bookings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While the province is currently using AstraZeneca doses in areas with the highest transmission, it expects to be giving them to essential workers by late April. Those plans may be reworked as, on March 29, B.C., like other provinces in Canada, temporarily suspended using that particular vaccine for those under 55. Dr. Bonnie Henry, the provincial health officer, said she would have more information about the vaccine in the next few days.<\/p>\n<p><b>Alberta:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its main vaccine page includes ways to <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.albertahealthservices.ca\/topics\/Page17295.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">book at clinics or pharmacies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.albertahealthservices.ca\/topics\/Page17389.aspx#eligibility\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a detailed eligibility list is found here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has broken its <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.albertahealthservices.ca\/topics\/Page17389.aspx#eligibility\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phase 2 into four distinct groups<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (for example, those with chronic liver disease are in Group B, which is expected to get vaccines in April).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Saskatchewan:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saskatchewan.ca\/government\/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources\/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines\/emerging-public-health-issues\/2019-novel-coronavirus\/covid-19-vaccine\/vaccine-booking\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eligibility and booking on one page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and even includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> video demonstrating the appointment system. Right now, <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saskatchewan.ca\/government\/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources\/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines\/emerging-public-health-issues\/2019-novel-coronavirus\/covid-19-vaccine\/vaccine-delivery-phases#clinically-vulnerable\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">residents with underlying health conditions <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that make them \u201cextremely vulnerable\u201d to COVID-19 are being sent letters to confirm their eligibility; these letters are required for booking an appointment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Manitoba:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.mb.ca\/covid19\/vaccine\/index.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">main site<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> includes a \u201cIs it your turn to be immunized? Learn more\u201d button directing residents to a #ProtectMB page that has <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/protectmb.ca\/eligible-groups\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">vaccine eligibility and appointment information<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as well as a sign-up for a weekly <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>letter on the program, including updates on who is currently eligible. The site also includes detailed vaccination statistics and a <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.mb.ca\/covid19\/vaccine\/index.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">queue calculator<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that shows a person\u2019s place in line (for those 50-59 with no health conditions, there are around 167,000 Manitobans ahead of you).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ontario:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/covid-19.ontario.ca\/covid-19-vaccines-ontario?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9YWDBhDyARIsADt6sGbu9EkhzrqqWhVJ5D-EfiZBAlvSIsYMnxY42bn_IG_NLoIPE4hSWuEaAsPiEALw_wcB&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds#covid-19-immunization-program\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">main provincial site<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has information as well as a general booking button that then directs you to its <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/covid-19.ontario.ca\/book-vaccine\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">main booking page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The site also has a <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/covid-19.ontario.ca\/book-vaccine\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">detailed pharmacy list <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">including hotlinks for those eligible for<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AstraZeneca shots.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Quebec<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/progress-of-the-covid-19-vaccination\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">main vaccination page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offers eligibility information (<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/portal3.clicsante.ca\/covid-vaccination-ouverture\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">linking to the prioritization plan for each health region<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) as well as a <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/progress-of-the-covid-19-vaccination\/#c79379\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">prominent \u201cMake an appointment to get vaccinated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d button.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>New Brunswick:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.gnb.ca\/content\/gnb\/en\/corporate\/promo\/covid-19\/nb-vaccine.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">main vaccine website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> puts the most important information\u2014who can get vaccines and how\u2014at the very top. As the province works through its Stage 1 list, each currently eligible category is adorned with a big bolded arrow and a \u201cnow eligible through\u2026\u201d note, which has a hotlink to its booking site. While \u201cw<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">orkers who regularly <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> across the border, including regular commuters, truckers and rotational workers\u201d are eligible for vaccines right now, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the time hasn\u2019t yet come for sheriffs, police officers and public health inspectors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.gnb.ca\/content\/gnb\/en\/corporate\/promo\/covid-19\/nb-vaccine.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">40 and older with specific health conditions in Stage 2<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can book their April appointments now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Nova Scotia:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nshealth.ca\/coronavirusvaccine\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">main page <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">prominently displays<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">essential buttons, including booking an appointment, the provincial distribution plan and information on the COVID-19 vaccines. The <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/novascotia.ca\/coronavirus\/book-your-vaccination-appointment\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">booking site has two basic options<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: booking through a community clinic or at a pharmacy (divided into four regions for ease of use).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Prince Edward Island:<\/b> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.princeedwardisland.ca\/en\/information\/health-and-wellness\/getting-covid-19-vaccine\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No one can miss the most important information on the main vaccine page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as current eligibility and booking information is at the top of the page in bright yellow boxes. Just below that<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a button to the <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pe.skipthewaitingroom.com\/walk-in-clinic-provider\/covid-vaccination-clinic\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online booking system<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which even includes calendars for the individual vaccination<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sites (for example, as of March 29, the next available slot at the O\u2019Leary clinic was on April 19).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Newfoundland and Labrador: <\/b><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.nl.ca\/covid-19\/vaccine\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its main page is stripped of all but the most essential details<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
