Click Insert &gt; Table from the menu. Once there, you can change the number of columns or rows, resize them, or add a cell border.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Add_or_Remove_Columns_and_Rows\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"moka_anchor_AddorRemoveColumnsandRows\">Add or Remove Columns and Rows<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>You may decide that the table is too large or too small for its purpose. Adding and removing columns and rows is easy.<\/p>\n<p>Go to a cell in the table where you want to either add or remove a column or row. Click when you see the double-sided arrow display. You\u2019ll see the border for that column or row highlighted in blue. Otherwise, your change will only apply to the column or row you have selected.<\/p>\n<p>To select the entire table, drag your cursor through it until the whole table is highlighted (blue).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-718395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/SelectTable-GoogleDocs.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Select the entire table\" width=\"650\" height=\"156\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Then head back to the Table Properties to adjust these cell settings.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adjust_the_Dimensions_and_Cell_Padding\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"moka_anchor_AdjusttheDimensionsandCellPadding\">Adjust the Dimensions and Cell Padding<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>If you would like to use exact inches for the sizes of your columns and rows, you can set these under Dimensions. Before you make this change, you must select the entire table first (as described above).<\/p>\n<p>Then check the box for \u201cColumn Width\u201d and\/or \u201cMinimum Row Height\u201d and add the decimal values in inches to the right.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-718396\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/TableDimensions-GoogleDocs.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Change the table dimensions and cell padding\" width=\"273\" height=\"203\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Cell padding works the same way with its values. Enter the number of inches you want to use for the padding. Use the drop-down box in this section of the Table Properties to choose from Left, Center, or Right.
