The K-pop stars discussed their \u201cgrief and anger,\u201d alluding to the Atlanta shootings earlier this month and the overall <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/03\/18\/nyregion\/asian-hate-crimes.html\"}' href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/03\/18\/nyregion\/asian-hate-crimes.html\">rise in violence<\/a> against Asian Americans. \u201cWe stand against racial discrimination,\u201d they wrote. \u201cWe condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together.\u201d Read their full statement below.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe recall moments when we faced discrimination as Asians,\u201d they wrote. \u201cWe have endured expletives without reason and were mocked for the way we look. We were even asked why Asians spoke in English.\u201d They continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"sc-iBPRYJ sc-cjHJEj eLRJRO iUIQHV blockquote-embed\">\n<div class=\"sc-iBPRYJ sc-fXvjs eLRJRO fHTaxx blockquote-embed__content\">\n<p>We cannot put into words the pain of becoming the subject of hatred and violence for such a reason. Our own experiences are inconsequential compared to the events that have occurred over the past few weeks. But these experiences were enough to make us feel powerless and chip away our self-esteem.
