Comic Lil Rel Howery (Last Comic Standing, The Carmichael Show<\/em>) is returning to NBC and helping the network give away cash. Howery is hosting the Small Fortune<\/em> game show which is based on a British series<\/a> and will launch on the peacock network on Monday, May 31st<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the competition, teams of three must display dexterity and focus skills as they tackle games on miniature playing fields \u2014 from a shrunken sushi conveyor belt with tiny chopsticks to a mini Ellis Island. They\u2019ll do their best to work together for a shot at earning $250,000 in the \u201cBig Little Heist\u201d finale game.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Game Show Marks Lil Rel Howery\u2019s Return to NBC as Teams Test Their Skills for $250,000 Prize in Miniature-Sized Competition<\/p>\n

\u00b7 \u201cSmall Fortune,\u201d NBC\u2019s newest team competition game show hosted by Lil Rel Howery, premieres on Monday, May 31 at 10 p.m. ET\/PT. The series is a British import based on Youngest Media<\/a>\u2019s popular U.K. format and is unlike any team competition ever seen on U.S. television.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 In each heart-pounding episode, teams of three from various backgrounds, including first responders and Olympians from around the country, work together to earn a shot at competing for the $250,000 cash prize in the \u201cBig Little Heist\u201d finale game.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 To get there, each team must prove their skills on miniature playing fields from a shrunken sushi conveyor belt with tiny chopsticks (\u201cTeeny Sashimi\u201d) to a mini Ellis Island (\u201cStatue of Liberteeny\u201d). Challenges will require considerable dexterity and intense focus because with games this small, there\u2019s no room for error as the slightest miscalculation or tremble may result in losing tens of thousands of dollars.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 In the eight-episode series, Howery raises the stakes by mixing encouragement with his brand of laughs to keep the players on their toes and audiences equally as anxious and entertained.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Howery is fresh off his successful HBO comedy special \u201cLil Rel Howery: Live in Crenshaw,\u201d which was rated the #1 hourlong comedy special of 2019 by Vulture.com. In film, he is perhaps best known for his roles as TSA agent Rod Williams in the Oscar-winning \u201cGet Out,\u201d Charlie in the Netflix smash \u201cBird Box, and more recently as Wayne in the Oscar-nominated \u201cJudas and The Black Messiah.\u201d On the small screen, he starred as Bobby, brother to Jerrod Carmichael, on the critically acclaimed NBC series \u201cThe Carmichael Show,\u201d also starring Tiffany Haddish as his ex-wife. In addition to making an impression with his own comedy series, \u201cRel\u201d on Fox, Howery has lent his talents to \u201cInsecure\u201d on HBO, \u201cSouthside\u201d on Comedy Central and more.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 \u201cSmall Fortune\u201d is co-produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio and entertainment studio Youngest Media, which created and produced the U.K. format.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Lucas Church and David Flynn will serve as executive producers for Youngest Media alongside Steve Barry and Joe Braswell, who will serve as executive producers for Kelchris and showrunners for the series. Lil Rel Howery also executive produces.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
