\n Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to be transferred early this week to the Southern District of New York for her upcoming court appearance, according to a new letter filed by federal prosecutors on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Maxwell, 58, is currently at the Merrimack County Jail, a medium-security facility 20 miles from the luxurious home where she was arrested Thursday in New Hampshire.<\/p>\n

Federal prosecutors consulted with Maxwell\u2019s attorneys and both want the arraignment and bail hearing to take place on Friday, according to the letter addressed to Judge Alison J. Nathan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government has consulted with defense counsel, Christian Everdell, Esq., who has requested that the arraignment, initial appearance, and bail hearing in this matter take place on July 10, 2020,\u201d says the letter.<\/p>\n

The government and the defense counsel also requested time to discuss a protective order with the judge before Maxwell appears in court.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch a protective order will be necessary to facilitate the production of discovery while also protecting, among other things, the privacy and identity of third parties, including victims of the conduct charged in the Indictment,\u201d the letter says.<\/p>\n

The British social<\/a>ite may be held at Brooklyn\u2019s Metropolitan Detention, according to law-enforcement sources.<\/p>\n

Maxwell\u2019s ex-lover, the late Jeffrey Epstein, killed himself in August in a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting a fresh sex-trafficking case.<\/p>\n

Maxwell was busted on a six-count Manhattan federal indictment for allegedly recruiting underage girls for Epstein.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
