There\u2019s also Mary and Brittani, who shower together. (Brittani is an adult.) And then witness Dawn and Cher, who talk constantly, much to the aggravation of Cher\u2019s husband.<\/p>\n<p>In the seventh episode of Season 2, \u201cThe Secret Is Out,\u201d tensions boil over and there are several confrontations.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s our recap. Spoilers ahead!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kathy_and_Cristina\"><\/span>Kathy and Cristina<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Chicago duo Kathy, 61, and Cristina, 35, have spent Season 2 conspiring to move Cristina\u2019s family in with mom Kathy while Cristina\u2019s home is renovated. The problem? Getting Cristina\u2019s husband, Carlo, on board since he\u2019s not a fan of competing with Kathy for her daughter\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n<p>At last, they get Carlo to cave, but now they\u2019re fighting over how to remodel Cristina and Carlo\u2019s kitchen. Cristina and Kathy are planning to do a black-and-white color scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Carlo is angry that mother and daughter have taken over the remodeling, fuming, \u201cI think I have a say at what\u2019s going on in my house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kathy fires back that his opinions about decor can\u2019t be trusted since his taste runs towards \u201cmeathead modern.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Laurie_and_Sarah\"><\/span>Laurie and Sarah<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Laurie, 59, and Sarah, 25, prepare to take their two dachshunds, or \u201cwiener dogs,\u201d to a local festival, where they dress the pups up in costumes and walk around to various stalls selling treats. Laurie has various ailments, including diabetes and kidney issues, and Sarah is worried about Laurie\u2019s health, which causes tension during what should be a fun day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fear of losing my mom is an every-second-of-every-day worry for me,\u201d she says. \u201cThere have been so many times that she\u2019s lied about being OK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sarah repeatedly asks if Laurie has had enough water, and Laurie gets exasperated with Sarah\u2019s hovering.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15928538\"><img alt=\"Sarah and Laurie didn't necessarily get along at the local festival.\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"662\"><\/img><figcaption><span>Sarah and Laurie don\u2019t necessarily get along at the local festival.<\/span><span>TLC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dawn_and_Cher\"><\/span>Dawn and Cher<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dawn, 59, is based in Florida, but she\u2019s staying in New York with Cher, 29, and her husband, Jared, to help them take care of their newborn baby girl, Belle.<\/p>\n<p>The problem? She\u2019s overstayed her welcome, and Jared is fed up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust as I suspected all along, Dawn has really settled into our apartment \u2026 There\u2019s no inkling of when she\u2019ll go back,\u201d he says. He adds that he doesn\u2019t have that much time left on his paternity leave (he\u2019s a doctor) and he wants to spend it bonding with his baby and learning how to be a dad instead of having the baby\u2019s grandmother swoop in and micromanage everything.<\/p>\n<p>Cher reluctantly agrees with him that it\u2019s time to ask her parents to leave and return to their own home, but \u201cit\u2019s an awkward situation,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15928509\"><img alt=\"There's a new baby, Belle, for Cher and Jared. And, of course, Cher\u2019s micromanaging mom.<\/span><span>TLC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mary_and_Brittani\"><\/span>Mary and Brittani<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Mary, 59, and Brittani, 19, take a break from showering together this week in order to dive into Brittani\u2019s love life.<\/p>\n<p>Brittani goes on a date with a new crush, Lewis, who asks about her upcoming plastic surgery \u2014 the tummy tuck that Mary announced that she was getting her, in front of a crowd at her party. He assures Brittani that he thinks she\u2019s beautiful and doesn\u2019t need plastic surgery, but just when things are getting romantic, their date is interrupted by a phone call from Mary.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis tells the camera that sometimes he thinks Brittani and her mom are too close, especially when it\u2019s interrupting their time together. After the date, when Brittani is telling Mary about it, she nervously proclaims that she has a secret she wants to share: She\u2019s bisexual.<\/p>\n<p>Mary initially reacts with disbelief, then she demands that she \u201cexplain that\u201d because, according to Mary, Brittani can\u2019t possibly know that if she hasn\u2019t yet had sex. \u201cYou have to try both sexes before you really know,\u201d she says.
