A parolee wanted for stealing a duffel bag \u2014 with $60,000 in it \u2014 from a man at gunpoint in Midtown was arrested Tuesday afternoon when cops recognized him from a wanted poster, police and police sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shameik Hargrove, 35, of Brooklyn, was nabbed on West 37th Street between Seventh and Eight Avenues around 1 p.m. after police recognized him from the robbery that he allegedly committed in the same neighborhood, police said.<\/p>\n

Hargrove allegedly pulled his gun on a 44-year-old man from West Palm Beach, Fla., at 270 West 36th Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday and demanded his duffel bag as the man waited for a friend, according to cops.<\/p>\n

Police generated the wanted poster after the man reported the incident.<\/p>\n

Police had to chase Hargrove for about a block on foot before they caught him, according to cops. Hargrove had a loaded Glock 21, heroin and crack on him, police said.<\/p>\n

He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and more than a dozen counts of criminal possession of stolen property for credit cards, cops said. He was also charged with possession of marijuana.<\/p>\n

Hargrove, who was a parolee, has four prior gun charges, from 2017, 2018 and 2020, according to police sources\u00a0 He was also charged with robbery in 2010.<\/p>\n

The victim told cops he had the cash on him because he had done a business transaction, but referred further inquiries to his lawyer, a police source said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
