Talk about a \u201cGut Punch\u201d for Gibbs\u2019 (Mark Harmon<\/a>) team in NCIS<\/em>\u2018<\/a> April 6 episode: Not only has their boss been indefinitely suspended, but now they\u2019re being reassigned! (At least they\u2019re not being separated, as has happ<\/a>ened in the past?)<\/p>\n

\u201cThis team has overstepped bounds,\u201d Director Vance (Rocky Carroll<\/a>) explains in the promo. He\u2019s not wrong: In the last episode, an investigation uncovered a dogfighting ring, and when Gibbs found out their suspect was shooting and drowning the dogs that lost, he<\/em> lost it and put the man in the hospital. He regretted not killing him, he admitted to Vance, leaving his boss no choice but to take his badge and gun.<\/p>\n

And with no idea how long Gibbs will be away from the job, McGee (Sean Murray<\/a>), Bishop (Emily Wickersham<\/a>), and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama<\/a>) will be working with other agents. Ronnie (Victoria Platt), who first appeared in the season premiere, tells them \u201cgrab your gear\u201d in the promo and yes, it\u2019s so strange to hear someone other than Gibbs say that to these agents. Her team includes Sawyer (Zane Holtz<\/a>), who previously appeared in Season 10\u2019s \u201cSquall\u201d as another character, a petty officer.<\/p>\n

According to the logline for this episode, Gibbs\u2019 agents are assigned to COVID compliance duty at a foreign affairs summit, and they\u2019ll find a link to another team\u2019s murder case. As seen in the preview below, they\u2019re going to end up in a dangerous situation.<\/p>\n
