Women have a soft spot for single guys \u2014 a very soft spot, according to a new study \u2014 and dudes who\u2019ve packed on the pandemic pounds couldn\u2019t be more delighted.<\/p>\n

Three-quarters of singles surveyed on Dating.com say they\u2019re turned on by the not-so-chiseled chassis of a \u201cdad bod\u201d \u2014 more than any other body type. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf a dad bod and gray hair are hot, I\u2019m the pandemic\u2019s Brad Pitt,\u201d Upper West Sider Tom Kelly, 44, told The Post. \u201cWomen may find dad bods attractive; my cardiologist does not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, he\u2019s not used to being lauded for his love handles.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a girl grab my belly and say, \u2018This is cute,\u201d\u2019 recalled Kelly, who hosts his own eponymous podcast<\/a>. \u201cI said, \u2018I look six-months pregnant. What is wrong with you?\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Indeed, NYC matchmaker Amanda Shane told The Post that thin is not in for her female singles. \u201cThe majority of my clients are not interested in someone with a six pack and 4 percent body fat,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

For hot milkman Frank Acosta, the co-founder of the delivery service Manhattan Milk, rocking a bod that looked like it was cut from marble used to be a point of pride. But there were downsides to his dashing app<\/a>earance: \u201cIt can lead to a judgment about you, like, \u2018This guy isn\u2019t serious \u2014 he\u2019s a narcissist and all he cares about are his looks.\u2019 I\u2019ve definitely had that judgment.\u201d <\/p>\n

That hasn\u2019t been an issue since he gained 10 pounds and has been skipping his intense daily gym workouts during the pandemic. Now Acosta, 41, sees his less-defined muscles as an asset with women. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m being taken more seriously \u2014 that I don\u2019t look like I just work out all day and that it consumes my life,\u201d he said, noting that he\u2019s gotten more compliments on his appearance since his weight gain. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not so worried about the aesthetics now \u2014 I accepted that my body has changed and I\u2019ve learned to be comfortable with it,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve come to understand that women like wrinkles and gray hair and you don\u2019t have to look like all you do is train.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chef Dom Tesoriero<\/a>, who runs NYC\u2019s Mac & Cheese Truck, copped to gaining 8 pounds by overindulging in his \u201cvices\u201d \u2014 mac \u2018n\u2019 cheese and ice cream \u2014 but isn\u2019t beating himself up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not a dad, I\u2019m just working on the bod,\u201d said the 36-year-old Staten Islander, adding that the suddenly sought-after body type is a welcome change. \u201cIt\u2019s realistic. We all live in this world now where what we see on social media<\/a> is what we think we need to be.\u00a0The reality is that we\u2019re great exactly as we are.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not 6 \u00bd feet tall either,\u201d added the chef, who stands 5-foot-8. \u201cDo I give a s\u2013t if anyone thinks I\u2019m a little softer than I\u2019m supposed to be? Absolutely not. The next time I\u2019m out with a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, maybe I\u2019ll be a little bit self-conscious.\u201d <\/p>\n

But he predicts the extra padding won\u2019t be an asset for very long. \u201cNow that we\u2019re almost post-pandemic, I think this trend will swing back in the other direction,\u201d he said. \u201cLadies won\u2019t be quite as understanding.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
