\n President Trump called on Chicago and New York to change their ways \u201cand thinking\u201d after violence erupted in the cities over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cNew York City and Chicago play the Sanctuary City card, where criminals are protected. Perhaps they will have to start changing their ways (and thinking!),\u201d Trump wrote on Twitter<\/a>\u00a0Monday.<\/p>\n

The latest post follows Trump\u2019s tweet from Sunday night that offered the federal government\u2019s help to curb the surge of shootings in the two cities.<\/p>\n

He noted that 40 people were wounded in the Big App<\/a>le and 72 in the Windy City, including 13 who died.<\/p>\n

\u201cChicago and New York City crime numbers are way up,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cFederal Government ready, willing and able to help, if asked!\u201d<\/p>\n

Forty-nine people were wounded in shootings over the weekend in New York, eight of them fatally.<\/p>\n

June, with 205 shootings reported over the month, was the most violent in 24 years.<\/p>\n

In the Windy City, 67 people were wounded by gunfire, 13 of them fatally.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
