But the good <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> is fans have been getting some hints (and a really fun teaser) thanks to virtual panels. The latest comes from PaleyFest LA.<\/p>\n<p>During a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/evil-paleyfest-la-2021-sponsored-140000362.html\">panel<\/a> released on April 1 and moderated by Whoopi Goldberg, showrunners and executive producers Robert and Michelle King and stars Mike Colter (David Acosta), Michael Emerson (Leland Townsend), Kurt Fuller (Dr. Boggs), Katja Herbers (Kristen Bouchard), Christine Lahti (Sheryl), and Aasif Mandvi (Ben Shakir) shared a bit about what\u2019s ahead when we do (finally) get Season 2.<\/p>\n<p>Also of note, Robert King shared on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RKing618\/status\/1375914256613441537\">Twitter<\/a> on March 27 that they were filming the ninth of 13 episodes. \u201cCBS seems to be h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y with what we\u2019re doing even though the episodes are 18% weirder than last season,\u201d he added, with the only hint of a premiere date, \u201cSo my guess is we\u2019ll premiere on J-\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Below are seven teases about Season 2 from the Paley panel to whet your appetite.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats_Next_for_the_Investigative_Trio\"><\/span>What\u2019s Next for the Investigative Trio<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Skeptical psychologist Kristen, priest-in-training David, and carpenter (and rationalist) Ben are the ones investigating unexplained mysteries from the Church, and they each have quite a bit coming up when we do eventually see more <em>Evil<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_993352\" style=\"width: 1510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-993352\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-993352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn.jpg\" alt=\"Kristen Crucifix Burn Evil Season 1 Finale\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn-450x253.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn-1014x570.jpg 1014w, https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn-1420x798.jpg 1420w, https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn-770x433.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/evil-season-1-kristen-crucifix-burn-570x321.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-993352\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">CBS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>After a crucifix burned Kristen\u2019s hand \u2014 perhaps proving she might have very well killed the serial killer Leroux (Darren Pettie) threatening her family, as was strongly suggested \u2014 in the Season 1 finale, \u201ca big part of the beginning of [Season 2] is unpacking it,\u201d Robert King previews during the Paley panel.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, David has \u201ca countdown to ordination,\u201d the EP continues. Like with a wedding, there\u2019s an \u201cintensity to giving your life to somebody else and do you really mean that? That allowed them to focus on the cast\u2019s performances and the tension between characters.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kristen_and_Davids_Attraction_Isnt_Going_Away\"><\/span>Kristen and David\u2019s Attraction Isn\u2019t Going Away<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There is quite a bit in the way of Kristen and David doing anything about the attraction between them (her husband, he\u2019s becoming a priest), but the show isn\u2019t just forgetting it exists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re very interested in each other\u2019s minds,\u201d Herbers says. \u201cThat\u2019s where it starts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But if they ever do take that step, don\u2019t expect it to start with David. \u201cKristin is the aggressor, so if anything happens, it\u2019s going to have to be her,\u201d Colter adds. \u201cMore will unfold in the second season. But David is trying to his best to stay the course and to do what he feels is more fulfilling. He doesn\u2019t want to just succumb to his flesh and to give in because at the end of the first season, we don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on with Kristen. Though Sheryl came to Leland\u2019s defense in the past, however, that could change going forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe had been, the first season, all into it, just so excited to be with someone who breaks all the rules,\u201d Lahti says. \u201cShe was held back by her former husband, Kristen\u2019s dad, and she\u2019s just exploding now with wanting to break all barriers and conventions. She just is thrilled by [Leland]. But as we\u2019re getting into the second season, there will be some reckoning and some awareness.
