Minori Chihara<\/strong>,\u00a0the voice actor\u00a0behind notable roles such as Yuki Nagato in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0Miku Izayoi in Date A Live<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>, and\u00a0Erica Brown in Violet Evergarden<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0has announced<\/span><\/a> on her personal blog\u00a0she will be taking a break from her singing career to refocus her life\u00a0“to live a life that is more like me.” Chihara<\/strong> had performed songs in a majority of the anime<\/a> series<\/a> that she has had a role in. She will continue her voice acting duties.<\/p>\n

Chihara<\/strong> wrote\u00a0that “reaching the age of 40 while the Corona disaster is unfolding is a big turning point for me in which has caused me to rethink my future. In the time I spent reflecting on myself, I came to realize that my path as an artist may not be the only one for me.”<\/p>\n

In August, Chihara<\/strong> will hold her annual summer live at\u00a0Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater in Yamanashi prefecture as her last live concert before her break goes into effect.<\/p>\n

Her most known singles from the anime that Chihara<\/strong> has also played a role in include the ending theme<\/a> “Hare Hare Yukai” from Haruhi Suzumiya<\/strong><\/em>, the ending theme “Michishirube” from Violet Evergarden<\/strong><\/em>, the opening theme “Kyokai no Kanata” from Beyond the Boundry<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>, and many more. Chihara will continue to be a voice actor.<\/p>\n
