The father is Hollywood\u2019s consummate nice guy \u2014 Tom Hanks \u2014 who has played everyone from Mr. Rogers to Walt Disney.<\/p>\n

The son is a tattooed aspiring rapp<\/a>er who declared in an Instagram video that 2021 will be \u201cwhite boy summer.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Meet Chester Marlon Hanks, 30, a k a Chet, first son of Tom and Rita Wilson, who has been doing his best to break from his family\u2019s clean-cut reputation \u2014 with domestic violence accusations, a bloody head wound<\/a> and backlash for cultural appropriation.<\/p>\n

The black sheep of the Hanks clan first burst onto the scene in 2011, as rapper \u201cChet Haze.\u201d While studying theater at Northwestern, he released the song \u201cWhite and Purple\u201d \u2014 a remix of Wiz Khalifa\u2019s hit, \u201cBlack and Yellow,\u201d referencing his school\u2019s colors. The general<\/a> reception was a collective head scratch.<\/p>\n

In 2014, he was admitted to rehab for cocaine addiction<\/a>, saying he had struggled with substance abuse since he was a teen. In 2016, his then-girlfriend Tiffany Miles gave birth to daughter Michaiah.<\/p>\n

He later had a small role on Showtime\u2019s \u201cShameless\u201d and played a rapper in \u201cEmpire\u201d in 2018.<\/p>\n

But he continues to be best known for his bizarre social<\/a>-media posts \u2014 and a large script tattoo across his chest that declares \u201cI Am Who I Am.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n

In January 2020, he posted a viral video of himself speaking in a Jamaican accent<\/a> while attending the Golden Globes, where his father was accepting the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award.<\/p>\n

His more recent take on Megan Thee Stallion\u2019s \u201cHot Girl Summer\u201d has confused even more people.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just got this feeling man, that this summer is, it\u2019s about to be a white boy summer,\u201d he said in an Instagram video. \u201cTake it how you want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not talking about Trump, NASCAR-type white,\u201d he continued, \u201cI\u2019m talking about, you know, me, [R&B artist] Jon B, [rapper] Jack Harlow-type white boy summer. Let me know if you guys can vibe with that and get ready, \u2018cuz I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then a video emerged of him with a gushing head wound after a January altercation with his ex, Kiana Parker. The disturbing footage obtained by TMZ showed him with a bleeding forehead \u2014 the result of Parker swinging a pot at him. It kicked off a flurry of nasty accusations between the pair. <\/p>\n

He accused her of stealing his money and subsequently sued for assault. She said he had been violent against her and had obtained a restraining order against him.<\/p>\n

Luckily for the general public, the current wave of bad press hasn\u2019t affected Chet\u2019s productivity. Page Six reported \u201cWhite Boy Summer\u201d was not a music video, but a full-length feature film<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna get to edit it and come out with it real quick,\u201d he told photographers.<\/p>\n
