There might be times when you need to capture a screenshot of an entire webpage, perhaps to share a recipe or a how-to from our website. Use Microsoft Edge\u2019s built-in feature to capture full-page screenshots in JPEG format.<\/p>\n

Full-page screenshots captured in a JPEG format (as opposed to PDF) make it easy to store and share web pages, especially when you\u2019re using messaging platforms like iMessage, Facebook<\/a> Messenger, or WhatsApp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To get started, open the Microsoft Edge browser\u00a0on your Windows 10 or Mac computer and go to the web page that you want to capture.<\/p>\n

After opening the page, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to make sure that the Web Capture feature loads all images in the article. In our testing, we found that Edge did not include images if we didn\u2019t scroll through the page.<\/p>\n

Now, click the Web Capture button from the toolbar. If you don\u2019t see this, make sure that you\u2019re running the latest version of Microsoft Edge.<\/p>\n

Here, choose the \u201cFull Page\u201d option.<\/p>\n

Now, you\u2019ll see the Web Capture menu. Here, you can scroll to see everything you captured in the screenshot (and to make sure that all elements, including images, are showing up).<\/p>\n

If you want to annotate or draw over the screenshot, click the \u201cDraw\u201d button.<\/p>\n

From the drop-down next to the Draw button, select the color and the thickness of the stroke.<\/p>\n

Then use your cursor to draw over the screenshot. You can use the \u201cErase\u201d option to delete any annotations.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019re done, click the save button (which looks like a floppy disk) from the toolbar.<\/p>\n

Microsoft Edge will instantly download the full-page JPEG image to the default download folder on your computer. You can click the \u201cOpen File\u201d button from the downloads bar from the bottom of the window to open the screenshot.<\/p>\n

Here, you\u2019ll see a long screenshot of the entire article in one flowing image. Unlike a PDF capture, it will not be divided into pages.\u00a0If you want to save a web page as a paginated PDF, you can always use the Print to PDF feature in Microsoft Edge.<\/p>\n
