{"id":218222,"date":"2021-04-03T09:48:06","date_gmt":"2021-04-03T06:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/raptors-drub-warriors-in-53-point-blowout\/"},"modified":"2021-04-03T09:48:06","modified_gmt":"2021-04-03T06:48:06","slug":"raptors-drub-warriors-in-53-point-blowout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/raptors-drub-warriors-in-53-point-blowout\/","title":{"rendered":"#Raptors drub Warriors in 53-point blowout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Raptors drub Warriors in 53-point blowout<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>TAMPA, Fla.  \u2014 Pascal Siakam scored 36 points in three quarters on his 27th birthday, and the Toronto Raptors routed the Golden State Warriors 130-77 Friday night, with the largest margin of victory in the NBA this season.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto shot 53.4 percent in the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> and won for just the second time in 15 games.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLosing is not fun, and anything that lifts us out of that is good,\u201d said Siakam, who also had seven rebounds and five assists. \u201cThe hardest thing to do when you\u2019re losing is to stay together, and that\u2019s what we\u2019ve been trying to do. Obviously, it\u2019s just one game and we\u2019ve got to get some wins in a row.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Raptors pushed their lead to 61 points when Malachi Flynn hit a short jump shot with 6:29 remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Trent Jr., who posted a career-high 31 points Wednesday in his fourth game with the Raptors, finished with 24 points and OG Anunoby added 21. Flynn put up 16 points, five rebounds and five assists in 31 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The 53-point win was the biggest in the NBA this season, two points wider than the final margin of Dallas\u2019 124-73 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 27. The only other game in the last 25 years to see a lead exceed 60 points was Feb. 27, 1998, when Indiana beat Portland by 65 points.<\/p>\n<p>The 53-point margin of victory was the largest in Raptors history, the previous being a 46-point win over Indiana last season. It was the third-biggest loss in Warriors history; they lost by 63 points to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972, then lost a playoff game to the Lakers by 56 points the following season.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Wiggins led Golden State with 15 points, all in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>It was the seventh loss in eight games for the the Warriors, who played without Steph Curry and Draymond Green, a late scratch with a left finger injury.<\/p>\n<p>Golden State coach Steve Kerr said Green tried to warm up, but \u201che could barely hold onto the ball.\u201d So Kerr would not let him play.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s all part of it. You have to play through that,\u201d Kerr said. \u201cYou turn to the bench and it\u2019s next guy up. Injuries are no excuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Warriors shot 32.9% and had 21 turnovers.<\/p>\n<p>Siakam scored 23 points in the first half, seven during a 20-2 run over a seven-minute span of the second quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Anunoby and Chris Boucher did all the scoring as Toronto opened the second half with a 13-2 spurt to take a 75-42 lead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know it wasn\u2019t much of a game tonight,\u201d said Toronto coach Nick Nurse, \u201cbut it was good to see improvement on some of the things we\u2019ve been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Raptors had been outrebounded in 14 straight games, but they controlled the boards 53-38.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was better tonight,\u201d Nurse said. \u201cWe\u2019ve been trying to get on the same page collectively and do those things consistently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fred VanVleet left the game in the third quarter with a left hip flexor, having played 19 minutes. His 3-pointer midway through the second quarter extended his streak of games with at least one 3-pointer to 76, a Toronto franchise record.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>Curry was sidelined by a tailbone injury for the sixth time in eight games after scoring 68 points in 67 minutes in the two preceding games.
