“#Bronx man found shot in the back with a gun in his hand: cops<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

NYPD officers found a man lying face down with a pistol in his hand and a gunshot wound in his back in the Bronx on Sunday morning, police said.<\/p>\n

Police went to 2669 Briggs Avenue around 2:50 a.m. after gunshots triggered a ShotSpotter alert there. They found the man with the firearm in hand, according to cops.<\/p>\n

The man, who wasn\u2019t immedia<\/a>tely identified, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his back, cops said. <\/p>\n

Officers found one 9mm shell casing on the scene. ShotSpotter uses sensors to detect gunshots around the city.<\/p>\n

There were no immediate arrests.<\/p>\n
