\nThe\u00a0Lizzie Borden<\/strong> story has captured the public\u2019s attention for over a century.<\/p>\n

The axe murders were immortalized in a schoolchildren\u2019s rhyme that is still recited decades later. The incident has been dramatized many times, with various takes, notably in recent films with the accused killer played by Kristen Stewart<\/strong> and\u00a0Christina Ricci<\/strong> (pictured above in the Lifetime<\/strong> original film Lizzie Borden Took An Axe<\/em>). But is it possible more than just the story has endured? Could there be something else still hanging around the scene of the crime??<\/p>\n

That kind of interest is exactly what the owner of\u00a0US Ghost Adventures<\/strong> is counting on \u2014 it\u2019s the whole reason he purchased the house where it all happ<\/a>ened!<\/p>\n

First off, we need to clarify we are\u00a0not<\/em> talking about\u00a0Zak Bagans<\/strong>, star of the ghost-hunting reality show\u00a0Ghost Adventures<\/em> (and ex of Holly Madison<\/strong>), who has been known to purchase haunted items and real estate.<\/p>\n

No, this is\u00a0US<\/em> Ghost Adventures, a company which offers ghost tours of supposedly haunted places in over 33 cities around the United States. Owner\u00a0Lance Zaal<\/strong> jumped at the chance to own\u00a0the<\/em> original Fall River, Massachusetts residence where \u201cLizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother 40 whacks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The house went up for sale in January at the shockingly brutal price of $2 million bucks. Why so much? It\u2019s been a functional bed-and-breakfast tourist attraction for the past couple decades. And yes, people are convinced it\u2019s haunted. In fact, one guest on Trip<\/a> Advisor<\/strong> rated it as \u201cthe most haunted place that I\u2019ve ever stayed.\u201d<\/p>\n
