As\u00a0wildfires\u00a0continue to blaze across\u00a0Wisconsin,\u00a0Gov. Tony Evers<\/a>\u00a0on Monday signed\u00a0Executive Order #110<\/a>\u00a0declaring a State of Emergency which includes deploying the state\u2019s National Guard.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The executive order directs all state agencies to lead in wildfire prevention, response and recovery efforts during the spring fire season, which usually lasts through May.<\/p>\n

According to WITI, the Fox-owned station in Milwaukee<\/a>,\u00a0the Guard\u2019s Blackhawk helicopters will be utilized to fly to \u201cthe areas of the state in most need of aerial fire suppression resources.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The choppers will\u00a0carry large buckets of water to help put out the fires.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A combination of snow melting earlier than usual, low humidity and high winds has caused very high danger in wildfire conditions.<\/p>\n

The Department of Natural Resources<\/a>\u00a0reported that over 320 wildfires have burned over 1,400 acres so far this year in Wisconsin.\n <\/div>\n
