We can safely do so.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Masher pointed to ramped-up demand for moviegoing thanks to the \u201cGodzilla vs. Kong\u201d weekend box office stampede that racked up $285 million globally. Masher told Deadline he hopes the governor increases capacity by the time \u201cMortal Kombat,\u201d the martial-arts fantasy action flick, opens on April 23. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" alt=\"New York Gov. At the time, state officials mandated enhanced cleaning protocols and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> distancing measures such as mask wearing and contactless pay.<\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles, the other major US movie market, had theaters cleared to open March 11 at 25 percent capacity, or 100 people, whichever is fewer. On March 31, LA was given the green light to move ahead to 50 percent capacity, or 200 people. <\/p>\n<p>Masher said that in order for theaters to survive, New York City needs to expand in time for the May 28 openings of \u201cCruella\u201d starring Emma Stone and \u201cA Quiet Place Part II\u201d with Emily Blunt, as well as July 4 summertime blockbusters, Marvel\u2019s \u201cBlack Widow\u201d and \u201cTop Gun: Maverick,\u201d the sequel to the 1986 hit starring Tom Cruise. <\/p>\n<p>Masher argued that the 25 percent cap is nonsensical given the fact that indoor dining at the Big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le\u2019s restaurants has been at 50 percent capacity since last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt makes no sense,\u201d said Masher, who is also the CEO of Bowtie Cinemas. \u201cWe need to be able to survive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Officials at Cuomo\u2019s office couldn\u2019t immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.\n            <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
