A murder suspect\u2019s dramatic getaway attempt comes to an end when he crashed his truck into a big rig after leading police on a dangerous three-county chase through Southern California\u2019s freeways, footage from NBC Los Angeles showed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The black pickup truck getaway attempt began at 5:30 p.m., according to the local station, and lasted about two hours.<\/p>\n

The driver and a female passenger were reportedly taken into custody in Ontario after slamming into the truck.<\/p>\n

The suspect is wanted for murder and assault with a deadly weapon against a police officer, according to a dramatic live helicopter report from ABC 7<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The truck was weaving in between cars at speeds of about 90 mph during the pursuit \u2014 which wound through San Diego, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties, ABC\u2019s affiliate said.<\/p>\n

The vehicle fled south on the 215 Freeway before turning around and heading west on the 60 Freeway toward LA according to the report.<\/p>\n

At one point, ABC helicopter footage shows the driver leaving the highway and veering into oncoming traffic, narrowly avoiding a crash.<\/p>\n

The driver did get into a collision in Pomona around 6:30 p.m. and continued on, KTLA reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He could also be seen throwing something out the window at 6:50 p.m., the station said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
