\n LeBron James is continuing his full-court press on Drew Brees by shifting his ire to Fox News<\/a> host Laura Ingraham after she defended the Saints quarterback, saying he\u2019s \u201callowed to have his view\u201d on political issues.<\/p>\n

Ingraham, who told the Lakers star in 2018 to \u201cshut up and dribble,\u201d chimed in on the ongoing controversy between James and the Saints quarterback during a segment Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s allowed to have his view about what kneeling and the flag means to him,\u201d Ingraham told a guest. \u201cI mean, he\u2019s a person. He has some worth, I would imagine. I mean, this is beyond football though. This is totalitarian conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n

The segment app<\/a>arently struck a chord with James, who retweeted a video clip Thursday of the host\u2019s 2018 comments telling him to stick to sports along with new commentary.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you still haven\u2019t figured out why the protesting is going on,\u201d James tweeted. \u201cWhy we\u2019re acting as we are is because we are simply F-N tired of this treatment right here! Can we break it down for you any simpler than this right here?\u201d<\/p>\n

James also vowed to keep advocating until he sees \u201cCHANGE\u201d regarding policing in America.<\/p>\n

\u201c#ShutUpAndDribbleThisPowerfulBlackManComingFullSteam,\u201d James wrote in a follow-up tweet.<\/p>\n

Ingraham later responded to James\u2019 criticism during her down Thursday, saying every American has the \u201cGod-given right\u201d to speak his or her mind on any issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think in order to heal and shed light on gross injustices, our country needs more dialogue, not less,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd we need more respect, not retribution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most Americans right now are looking for \u201creconciliation,\u201d Ingraham said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat means politicians, police and even cultural figures all working together,\u201d she continued. \u201cAll of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brees, 41, was widely criticized for saying he could \u201cnever agree with anybody disrespecting the flag\u201d when asked by Yahoo Sports about the possibility of NFL players kneeling during the national anthem this upcoming season, as Colin Kaepernick and other players did in 2016.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
