And finally, we\u2019re about to see the first one.\u00a0<strong><em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em><\/strong> is based on Millar\u2019s 2013 comic series inspired by the Golden Age of Comics, about the intergenerational conflict between the old heroes and the new. One story arc takes place in the 1920s amid the Wall Street financial crisis as Sheldon Sampson (Duhamel) takes his wife Grace Sampson (<strong>Leslie Bibb<\/strong>) and brother Walter Sampson (<strong>Ben Daniels<\/strong>), along with George Hutchence (<strong>Matt Lanter<\/strong>) and Fitz Small (<strong>Mike Wade<\/strong>), on a journey to an island that Sheldon has been seeing in visions. It\u2019s that journey that ends up giving them superpowers and inspires them to form the superhero team The Union.<\/p>\n<p>But 120 years later, the world is a different place, and a new generation of reluctant superheroes are preparing to step into the limelight. Except for Sheldon and Grace\u2019s kids, who would very much not like to be the \u201cideal\u201d their parents represent. \u201cImagine\u00a0<em>The Incredibles<\/em>, but the kids were a nightmare,\u201d Millar said in an interview about the Netflix series recently, which seems to accurately capture the tone of\u00a0<em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em>.\u00a0<em>The Incredibles<\/em> but \u201crealistic.\u201d But the problem is that we\u2019re starting to see a saturation of those kind of \u201csubversive\u201d comic book stories, such as with Amazon\u2019s\u00a0<em>Invincible<\/em> animated series, based on the\u00a0Robert Kirkman comics, and even that\u00a0<em>Superman &amp; Lois<\/em> CW series. What does\u00a0<em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em> have to offer that the many others don\u2019t? For one, Josh Duhamel in that white wig. That\u2019s pretty neat.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em>\u00a0also stars\u00a0<strong>Elena Kampouris<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Sacred Lies<\/em>) and\u00a0<strong>Andrew Horton<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>How to Talk to Girls at Parties<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Here is the synopsis for\u00a0<em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world\u2019s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy.
