The clip features <strong>Paul Rudd<\/strong>\u2018s character encountering a gaggle of mini Stay-Puft Marshmallow Men in the supermarket. And for all the talk about how\u00a0<em>Afterlife<\/em> is going to take the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> back to its roots, the vibe here feels absolutely nothing like the original\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters<\/em>. If anything, this feels more akin to a\u00a0<em>Minions<\/em> sequel. Is that really what you\u2019re going for,\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em>? Watch the clip below.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ghostbusters_Afterlife_Clip\"><\/span><strong>Ghostbusters Afterlife Clip<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE - Mini-Pufts Character Reveal\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/43CTgfwoa3Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->It took me a hot second before I realized this was an actual clip from\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em>, and not a tie-in commercial for some sort of product from the film. And now that I know what this is, I\u2019m even more befuddled. Here, we see Paul Rudd\u2019s character, a teacher named\u00a0Mr. Grooberson, browsing a grocery store when he suddenly hears someone cry out. Eerie music reminiscent of\u00a0Elmer Bernstein\u2019s score for the first film plays, and then, a bunch of baby Stay-Puft Marshmallow Men show up and start making \u201ccute\u201d sounds and also\u2026*checks notes*\u2026turn themselves into s\u2019mores.<\/p>\n<p>Look, I\u2019m not going to judge an entire movie based on one out-of-context clip, but if the rest of\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em> is like this, I\u2019m more than a bit worried. There\u2019s almost nothing here that works \u2013 bringing back the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man feels fan-service-y and turning the character into a bunch of mini Marshmallow Men comes across like the producers of this film said, \u201cWe need our own Baby Yoda\/Minions for this movie, any ideas?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Again: this is a random clip for the movie and perhaps it plays much better in the context of the film itself. But I\u2019m a little worried here, gang. The original\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters<\/em> remains a classic. On top of that, I think\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters 2<\/em> is a lot better than people give it credit for, and I even liked the 2016 reboot that lots of people seemed to dislike because it featured *gasp* <em>lady Ghostbusters<\/em>. With all that in mind, I\u2019ll give\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em> a chance, but I sure hope this clip isn\u2019t reflective of the film as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<em>Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em>, \u201cAfter being evicted from their home, two children and their single mother move to a farm inherited from their late grandfather, located in Summerville, Oklahoma. When the town experiences a series of unexplained earthquakes, the children discover their family\u2019s link to the original Ghostbusters, who have become something of a myth as many have long since forgotten the events of the Manhattan Crossrip of 1984. They discover the secret legacy that their grandfather left behind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em> opens\u00a0<strong>November 11, 2021<\/strong>.
