Mythic Quest<\/i> fans are in for a treat. A special first season bonus episode is set to arrive on Apple TV+ next week. Season two will debut next month.<\/p>\n

Rob McElhenney, F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, and Jessie Ennis star in the comedy series<\/a> which follows a team of video game<\/a> developers. Apple TV+ revealed more about the special episode of Mythic Quest<\/em> in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cApple today announced that \u201cEverlight,\u201d a special standalone season one episode from the highly regarded workplace comedy series Mythic Quest<\/i>, will launch on Friday, April 16<\/b> on Apple TV+. The second season of the critically acclaimed, hit series Mythic Quest<\/i> debuts on Friday, May 7<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In \u201cEverlight,\u201d the creative team, once again, presents a relatable subject that people all over the world are currently facing \u2014 the return to offices and co-workers. In addition to the award-winning returning ensemble cast, special guest star Academy Award winner Sir Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs, The Father<\/i>) lends his voice to the episode. This new, half-hour special episode finds the team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all-time returning to the office for their annual Everlight party, with Poppy and Ian rigging a LARP (Live Action Role-Play) tournament in an underdog\u2019s favor.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Everlight\u2019 is a special episode that addresses the practical and emotional difficulties of returning to normalcy,\u201d said McElhenney. \u201cIt\u2019s full of hope and joy and optimism for a bright future. Ahead of our upcoming second season, we felt it was the perfect way (and the perfect time) to invite the audience back into the world of \u2018Mythic Quest.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEverlight\u201d follows the broadly acclaimed Mythic Quest: Quarantine<\/i> special episode, which was lauded as one of the best episodes of television produced during the pandemic. The new half-hour, special episode is directed by star, co-creator and executive producer Rob McElhenney and written by Emmy Award-winner, series writer and star Ashly Burch.<\/p>\n

Season two of Mythic Quest<\/i> finds everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), attempting to build upon the success of Raven\u2019s Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the game\u2019s direction. Meanwhile, C.W. (Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the bounds of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses yet another woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to assist Brad (Danny Pudi). The ensemble cast also features Naomi Ekperigin, Caitlin McGee, Humphrey Ker, Chris Naoki Lee and Jonathan Wiggs.<\/p>\n

Created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, Mythic Quest<\/i> is executive produced by McElhenney and Day under their RCG banner, Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel on behalf of 3Arts, and Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik and G\u00e9rard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film and Television.
