The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> came out a little bit earlier and admittedly, we\u2019re still shocked about it.<\/p>\n<p>Mostly, we\u2019re shocking about the\u00a0<em>timing\u00a0<\/em>of it. Given that this is a long-running show at this point, we\u2019d hoped that there was more of a buildup leading to the final episodes. That\u2019s not h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening now, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> finale set for a few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>In trying to analyze why the show is coming to a close, the main thing to look at is the ratings. Overall, the show was averaging a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and just under 4.8 million live viewers. While these aren\u2019t amazing numbers by any means, they aren\u2019t necessarily abysmal for scripted television in 2021. Also add to this the fact that the show is airing in a\u00a0<em>really\u00a0<\/em>tough timeslot Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern \u2014 we\u2019re not sure how CBS can be confident that another show will slide in there and do better. They may think that there is a cheaper alternative, but it\u2019s hard to comment on budget issues.<\/p>\n<p>Is there still a way for a\u00a0<em>MacGyver\u00a0<\/em>season 6 to happen? In theory sure, but it\u2019s hard to know what the right home for it would be. It already had CBS Studios involved, so from a profit standpoint, it benefited the network to keep it around. It probably has too many procedural elements for a streaming service like Netflix, and to us, the best option other than CBS reversing course would be the Paramount+ streaming service. They do need more viewers, which is why a\u00a0<em>Criminal Minds\u00a0<\/em>revival-of-sorts is happening there and a number of other properties are coming over.<\/p>\n<p>For now, we\u2019d say that we\u2019re far from optimistic that more\u00a0<em>MacGyver\u00a0<\/em>will end up on the air beyond this season.
