The minute everyone laid eyes on the\u00a0Mini-Pufts from the recently released\u00a0Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em><\/strong> clip I\u2019m fairly confident we all knew they would inevitably be turned into toys. They\u2019re tiny, cute, and part of a major franchise, so\u00a0obviously<\/em> the powers-that-be want to cash in on that, and who can blame them? People are clearly going to want to eat these things up (but not literally, please \u2013 they\u2019re made of plastic). And this fall, anyone who wants one will be able to buy their own Mini-Puft.<\/p>\n

The other day, the first clip for\u00a0Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em> arrived, and the reaction was mixed. Some folks were completely enamored with the look of the Mini-Pufts, a gaggle of tiny Stay-Puft Marshmallow Men that seem tailor-made to app<\/a>eal to those who love Baby Groot\/Baby Yoda\/The Minions, and so on. Others \u2013 like me, a negative nelly \u2013 thought the clip was kind of disappointing. To be fair, the clip in question is completely out of context, and it may very well work better when viewed with the rest of the movie. For now, though, I remain skeptical.
\nNo matter! The people behind\u00a0Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em> know that moviegoers\/consumers are going to want their own Mini-Pufts, and Hasbro is ready to give them exactly what they want. Here\u2019s a look at the packaging, which makes them kind of look like Play-Doh.<\/p>\n

\nYep, pretty cute. The series<\/a> consists of\u00a01.5-inch figures that come \u201cequipped with new mischievous personalities from the movie.\u201d Also, it sounds like you\u2019re going to have to dig through some goo to get to them, as the official ad copy states \u201cKids and collectors alike can open the Stay Puft Marshmallow can and dig into the goopy marshmallow-like compound to see which Mini-Puft figure is inside.\u201d I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u2019m in no mood to dig through goopy compounds. But if\u00a0you<\/em> are, you\u2019ll be able to pick these Mini-Pufts figures up this fall for\u00a0$5.39.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/em>, \u201cWhen a single mother and her two children move to a new town, they soon discover that they have a connection to the original Ghostbusters and their grandfather\u2019s secret legacy.\u201d\u00a0Carrie Coon<\/strong>, Finn Wolfhard<\/strong>, Mckenna Grace<\/strong>, and Paul Rudd<\/strong>, with Bill Murray<\/strong>, Dan Aykroyd<\/strong>, Ernie Hudson<\/strong>, Sigourney Weaver<\/strong>, and Annie Potts<\/strong> reprise their roles from the original films. Jason Reitman<\/strong>, son of original\u00a0Ghostbusters<\/em> director Ivan Reitman, directs and co-wrote the script with\u00a0Gil Kenan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
