Poor test screenings, reshoots, and COVID-19 changed all that, but Netflix stepped in and purchased the film, and now they\u2019re gearing up to start streaming it in May. Which means it\u2019s time for a new trailer! Based on the best-selling novel by\u00a0A. J. Finn (AKA Dan Malloy),\u00a0<em>The Woman in the Window<\/em> is heavily inspired by familiar titles such as\u00a0<em>Rear Window<\/em>\u00a0and follows Adams as an agoraphobic child psychologist who begins to suspect something is amiss with her neighbors.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Woman_in_the_Window_Trailer\"><\/span><strong>The Woman in the Window Trailer<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Woman in the Window | Official Trailer | Netflix\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v_0GJg_Jnlo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->The long, strange saga of\u00a0<em>The Woman in the Window<\/em> is almost over. The story originated as a book by A. J. Finn, a pseudonym for writer\u00a0Dan Malloy. The book became a huge bestseller, which meant a movie was inevitable. And the movie attracted some major talent \u2013 Joe Wright directs a cast that includes\u00a0Amy Adams, <strong>Gary Oldman<\/strong>, <strong>Anthony Mackie<\/strong>, <strong>Fred Hechinger<\/strong>, <strong>Wyatt Russell<\/strong>, <strong>Brian Tyree Henry<\/strong>, <strong>Jennifer Jason Leigh<\/strong>, and <strong>Julianne Moore<\/strong>. Pulitzer Prize-winning writer <strong>Tracy Letts<\/strong> (who also appears in the film) wrote the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>. With that type of pedigree,\u00a0<em>The Woman in the Window<\/em> began to generate awards season-buzz before anyone had even seen a single frame.<\/p>\n<p>And then things went wrong. The movie was initially set for a theatrical release in 2019, but poor test screenings resulted in reshoots. The reshoots kept pushing the release date around, and it was recently revealed that\u00a0<strong>Tony Gilroy<\/strong>, who has become Hollywood\u2019s go-to script doctor, was brought in for rewrites. Alas, none of this seemed to help the movie, and when the reshot version was test screened the reaction was about the same. In the midst of all this, <em>The New Yorker<\/em> published a lengthy <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/magazine\/2019\/02\/11\/a-suspense-novelists-trail-of-deceptions\">article<\/a> about A. J. Finn\/Dan Malloy that pointed out the writer\u2019s long history of deceiving people during his climb to the top of the bestseller list.<\/p>\n<p>Now, after all of these shenanigans and misadventures,\u00a0<em>The Woman in the Window<\/em> will see the light of day thanks to Netflix. In the film, \u201cAnna Fox (Amy Adams) is an agoraphobic child psychologist who finds herself keeping tabs on the picture perfect family across the street through the windows of her New York City brownstone.
