Two Texas men were busted for cursing while questioning their friend\u2019s arrest this week \u2014 and the video of the incident has since gone viral.<\/p>\n

Skylar Gilmore, Isaiah Benavides and Isaiah Phillips were outside the Baytown Market Convenience Store Tuesday when another friend, Jostin Moore, 24, was pulled over in a separate car \u2014 for what police say were unspecified traffic violations and an outstanding warrant out of Deer Park, KHOU 11 reported.<\/p>\n

Benavides started recording the traffic stop and posted it to Facebook<\/a> \u2014 racking up 76,000 views by Friday morning.<\/p>\n

About four-and-a-half minutes into the video, one of the two Baytown police officers on scene app<\/a>roaches Gilmore, 24, and tells him he\u2019s under arrest for \u201ccussing in public.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clip then shows the officer throw Gilmore to the ground and knee him in the face.<\/p>\n

He was busted on a disorderly conduct-language charge for using profanity, cops confirmed to KHOU. A spokesperson for the Harris County District Attorney\u2019s Office told the outlet that prosecutors dropped a separate charge against him for interfering with public duties because of a lack of evidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was my first time going to jail,\u201d Gilmore told the station. \u201cI\u2019m a law-abiding citizen, and I got sent to jail for cursing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another officer is shown on the video grabbing Phillips, 23, from behind. He faces the same municipal foul language charge, according to the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey slammed me on my friend Skylar\u2019s hood, used my face to dent his hood,\u201d Phillips told the outlet. \u201cThat\u2019s not proper.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t get back, I\u2019m gonna break your s\u2013t,\u201d one of the cops threatened Benavides as he filmed Phillips\u2019 arrest.<\/p>\n

Baytown Police Chief Keith Dougherty has since filed a complaint against the officers, he said at a Thursday protest outside police headquarters, according to the station.<\/p>\n

Both officers have been placed on desk duty while Internal Affairs conducts an investigation, which could end with both cops booted from the force, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try to hold people accountable, and I feel the frustration,\u201d Dougherty said. \u201cObviously I felt that there were some better judgments that could have been made, and so that\u2019s why I called for the investigation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

About 200 people attended the protest, calling for more police accountability.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re walking together,\u201d Benavides told the local outlet. \u201cWe\u2019re not just doing this for us. We\u2019re doing this for our community, period.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
