DMX fans are celebrating the late rapper\u2019s funny bone.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old, gravel-voiced musician, who died Friday<\/a> following an April 2 heart attack triggered by a drug overdose, showed off his comedic delivery in a 2015 episode<\/a> of the Randall Park-starring ABC sitcom \u201cFresh Off the Boat.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the episode, Louis Huang\u2019s (Park) son Eddie, played by Hudson Yang, gets a part-time job pitching in at the home of a new neighbor \u2014 DMX. But Eddie has a lot to learn before he jumps in.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look older in person,\u201d Eddie tells him in the episode, titled \u201cWe Done Son,\u201d to which a baby-cradling DMX responds, \u201cFatherhood ages you. I\u2019m tired. Emotional. Crying. Yelling. Pulling up the same cotton commercial. It\u2019s the fabric of our lives.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

But when an excited Eddie says he can\u2019t wait to clue in his friends about his new gig, the hip-hop legend forks over a multipage nondisclosure agreement for him to sign. <\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, little man; can\u2019t have you blowing up my spot,\u201d he tells the disappointed kid. \u201cIt\u2019s the same one Oprah used on Stedman,\u201d DMX adds, referring to Winfrey\u2019s rarely seen longtime partner, Stedman Graham.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Ruff Ryder then rattles off a list of chores for Eddie to take on for his newborn daughter, including \u201cbaby-proofing the living room\u201d and putting \u201clavender drops in her cloth diapers.\u201d When Eddie asks why he doesn\u2019t just use disposable ones, an environmentally conscious DMX responds, \u201c \u2018Cuz I ain\u2019t trying to leave some big-ass carbon footprint.\u201d<\/p>\n

In another, more touching scene, DMX gives Eddie a tour of his orchid-laden private greenhouse and offers the boy some solid relationship advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first started growing orchids, I thought they needed the most expensive soil and lights to blossom. And they died,\u201d the \u201cParty Up (Up in Here)\u201d singer tells Eddie while showing off his floral bounty. \u201cThat\u2019s when I realized that all they really needed was time and attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

DMX then draws a connection between his horticultural know-how and how to treat women.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t need to get your girl a gift,\u201d he says. \u201cYou need to give her your time.\u201d<\/p>\n

That clip brought a wistful reaction from Twitter<\/a> user and apparent orchid-grower @CharlotteAbotsi, who shared it<\/a> with a message of foreshadowing. \u201cThis morning I woke up to find the last petal of an orchid plant I\u2019ve been trying to nurse on the floor,\u201d she wrote in the tweet. \u201cI should\u2019ve known then. RIP DMX.\u201d<\/p>\n

That quick stint on \u201cFresh Off the Boat\u201d apparently wasn\u2019t DMX\u2019s only connection to sitcom life. During a 2017 episode of the talk show \u201cHot Ones,\u201d actress Gabrielle Union told host Sean Evans<\/a> that DMX \u201cloves\u201d the 1980s sitcom \u201cThe Golden Girls.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a real fun fact,\u201d says Union, who worked with him in the 2003 film \u201cCradle 2 the Grave.\u201d In the video, Union shares that DMX watched the show in his trailer on set \u2014 and invited her to join him over beers. \u201cWe would have a Heineken \u2014 and sometimes a little Crown [Royal] \u2014 and we watched \u2018The Golden Girls,\u2019 \u201d she says, adding, \u201cAnd he would laugh hysterically.\u201d<\/p>\n
