We even understand that there are some out there who feel like Pam Dawber\u2019s arrival as Marcie Warren is evidence that the end is near for Harmon on the show. Speaking in a recent interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/pam-dawber-ncis-interview-mark-harmon\/\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Dawber makes it clear that this role existed prior to her taking it \u2014 this dispels the notion that the character was created solely to bring about Mark\u2019s exit. She also makes it clear that her arc and her husband\u2019s future are two entirely different things:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">That has nothing to do with anything. This is just a good storyline. I\u2019m not going to go tip the hat on anything, but they don\u2019t think like that over there. A good story line is a good story line, and honest to God, we don\u2019t even know how it\u2019s going to end.<\/p>\n<p>So, for now, don\u2019t draw too many conclusions based on Pam\u2019s appearance alone. Is it possible that we are near the end of the road for Mark Harmon on\u00a0<em>NCIS?\u00a0<\/em>Sure, but we still wouldn\u2019t say that it\u2019s a sure thing.
