BSC validators stake BNB.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s hard not to presume that each Binance Chain validator is in some way connected or tied to Binance,\u201d Messari\u2019s Wilson Withiam speculated, adding: \u201cThey each take turns producing blocks in a seemingly predefined order. There doesn&#8217;t <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear to be any stake-weighted mechanism to determine which one produces the next block.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Some might overlook the influence Binance Chain has over Binance Smart Chain&#8217;s validator set.<\/p>\n<p>BSC has 21 active validators, making it more centralized than most platforms.<\/p>\n<p>This validator set is determined daily by Binance Chain, a network managed by just 11 validators. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UeWDj0o1DY\">pic.twitter.com\/UeWDj0o1DY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Wilson Withiam (@WilsonWithiam) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WilsonWithiam\/status\/1381420702918664194?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 12, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Watkins sought to address perceived misconceptions regarding BSC\u2019s performance, asserting its speed advantages over the Ethereum main net are a product of \u201cthe magic of centralization\u201d rather than \u201ctechnological innovation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBSC is an Ethereum fork with a centralized validator set. That\u2019s it. Nothing more,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf you really think BSC has achieved smart contract supremacy, and will become the world\u2019s settlement layer, you are on crack.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>-user \u201cearoshthime\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/earoshthime\/status\/1381447499538341891\">rebutted<\/a> the claim from Watkins and others that BSC others little more than clones of Ethereum-based DeFi legos, describing copying as inherent to technological innovation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it comes to invention &amp; innovation, copying is a feature not a bug. Copying is a sign that something there is worth exploring but it only takes one character difference to be better,\u201d they said.\u201cMkt92z\u201d also responded in defense of BSC, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mkt92z\/status\/1381424037155328000\">describing<\/a> Ethereum\u2019s recent high fees and scaling woes as driving users away to seek out alternative protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMkt92z\u201d also responded in defense of BSC, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mkt92z\/status\/1381424037155328000\">describing<\/a> Ethereum\u2019s recent high fees and scaling woes as driving users away to seek out alternative protocols.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Etherium needs to hurry and solve their scaling probablem that&#8217;s causing ridiculously high fees. These fees are taking too much out of peoples pockets.
