\n Joe Biden\u2019s campaign and the Democratic National Committee are on the same page when it comes to beating President Trump in November \u2014 ending a tradition of bad blood between the party\u2019s nominee and leadership.<\/p>\n

The collaboration between Biden and DNC is an about-face from four years ago, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, when stolen DNC emails, millions in debt and bitterness over the presidential primary season soured the relationship between Hillary Clinton and the party.<\/p>\n

This time around, the Biden campaign is working more closely with the DNC than any candidate has in recent history, according to interviews with more than 20 veteran Democratic operatives, the news<\/a> service reported.<\/p>\n

The result has transformed Biden\u2019s campaign to the kind of high-powered, focused operation needed to have a shot at defeating incumbent President Trump.<\/p>\n

The DNC is key to presidential elections for Democratic candidates because it can rake in six-figure donations that can be spent by both the national and state parties on behalf of Biden.<\/p>\n

Biden, the DNC and state committees raised $282 million during the second quarter, and half of that was in June.<\/p>\n

Veteran Democratic operatives and party officials said the collaboration was unprecedented and was boosting campaigning during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really an extraordinary thing,\u201d Howard Dean, who chaired the DNC through the 2008 presidential election after seeking the 2004 nomination, told Bloomberg.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t seen this in my 40 years of presidential politics.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2016, the party was heavily in debt and raising no cash on its own, so when the former first lady won the nomination, she built her own operation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the DNC and state parties both hand in hand realized in 2016 one of the reasons maybe Secretary Clinton did not utilize the DNC infrastructure was because there was nothing there,\u201d said Nebraska Democratic Party chairwoman Jane Kleeb.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s re-election team, meanwhile, is also working closely with the Republican National Committee.<\/p>\n

The operation between the campaign and the RNC has state directors in 17 states, and they now have more than 1,100 staff in the field.<\/p>\n

The two organizations have collaborated since Trump won the nomination four years ago, and RNC officials said they have prioritized the joint operation since then.<\/p>\n
