“#Danny Elfman Announces First Solo Studio Album in 37 Years, Shares New Video: Watch<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Danny Elfman has announced Big Mess<\/em><\/a>, the composer\u2019s first solo, non-soundtrack studio album since 1984. The 18-track record includes the comeback song \u201cHapp<\/a>y,\u201d as well as \u201cSorry<\/a>,\u201d \u201cLove in the Time of Covid<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cKick Me.\u201d Announcing the album, Elfman has shared another song, \u201cTrue,\u201d which arrives with a thoroughly creepy music video directed by Sarah Sitkin<\/a>. \u201cThe video is an exploration of fractured identity, muffled through the lens of memory,\u201d Sitkin said in a statement. \u201cDanny is a central figure within the video, yet only in his reproduced likeness via prosthetics, masks, and 3D printed body parts. I wanted to make a video that was gritty, unpolished, and uncomfortable.\u201d Find \u201cTrue\u201d below.<\/p>\n

Big Mess<\/em> is out June 11 via ANTI-<\/a> and Epitaph<\/a>. According to a press release, Elfman made the album during quarantine in 2020. Contributors to Big Mess<\/em> include drummer Josh Freese, bassist Stu Brooks, and guitarists Stu Brooks and Nili Brosh.<\/p>\n
