He Plays<\/b><\/p>\n

Babatunde \u201cUncle Tunde\u201d Olatunji, who, along with Auntie Olu (Shola Adewusi), took in their niece Abishola (Folake Olowofoyeku) and her son, Dele (Travis Wolfe Jr.), when they moved from Nigeria to Detroit.<\/p>\n

\u201cTunde is a joyful optimist,\u201d says Henley. \u201cBecause he\u2019s so funny, you rarely realize how brilliant he is.\u201d Tunde is a masterful bargained \u2014 he cowed the salesman trying to sell Bob (Billy Gardell) an engagement ring for Abishola \u2014 and we learn in the April 12 episode that despite his modest lifestyle, he\u2019s actually quite successful thanks to shrewd real estate investments.<\/p>\n

Where You\u2019ve Seen Him<\/b><\/p>\n

In his \u201cmentor\u201d Michael Mann\u2019s films Ali<\/i>, Miami Vice<\/i> and his favorite, Collateral<\/i>. On TV, the in-demand character actor has played a raft of law enforcers (see: Better Call Saul<\/i>, Bosch<\/i>) and, recently, a scientist tangling with \u201cbad guys that were mostly extraterrestrials\u201d on Marvel\u2019s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/i><\/p>\n

Why We Love Him
<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cTunde\u2019s a social<\/a> animal. He loves to engage,\u201d Henley says, and seeing his disarming charm and sly wit as he spars with comedy vets Gardell and Christine Ebersole (Bob\u2019s feisty mom, Dottie) is a frequent delight. Not bad for someone so out of touch with the sitcom genre that, Henley admits with a laugh, when he heard \u201cLorre\u201d was producing Bob \u2665 Abishola<\/em>, the name that came to mind wasn\u2019t Chuck Lorre\u2026but Hugh Laurie!<\/p>\n
