Lights, camels, action!<\/p>\n

Chinese officials have launched what they say is the world\u2019s first traffic light for camels.<\/p>\n

The signal came into operation Sunday at the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring in Dunhuang City, Chinese state media<\/a> outlet ECNS said Monday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The area, in the country\u2019s north-central Gansu province, has become increasingly popular with tourists in recent years, according to CNN<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Camel-riding tours especially are a big attraction for visitors \u2014 who will now be safe from bumpy travel<\/a>, thanks to the new traffic light.<\/p>\n

The contraption has signals for both tourists and camels, which turn green for go and red for stop.<\/p>\n
