The answer is: Another Daily Double full of trouble for Dr. Mehmet Oz.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The celebrity MD \u2014 who has infamously flatlined as a guest host of\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0\u2014 is learning that sometimes laughter\u00a0isn\u2019t<\/em>\u00a0always the best medicine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the days since his brief stint behind the lectern was deemed a \u201cslap in the face\u201d to the\u00a0brand by contestants and fans alike, Oz, 60, is now being accused of making fun of a contestant during filming.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just odd<\/a>,\u201d recent show\u00a0<\/em>winner\u00a0<\/em>Emily Seaman told the Ringer of Oz\u2019s rocky run as anchor from March 22 to April 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think he likes \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Seaman, a law clerk for the federal Southern District of Texas court, claims she overheard Oz making her the butt of a joke when she failed to answer a question after successfully blazing through the entire category during game<\/a>play.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard him making fun of it to one of the producers,\u201d she said. \u201cLike, \u2018I can\u2019t believe they didn\u2019t get this one.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Her response to the doctor\u2019s alleged janky jab: \u201cI was, like, \u2018Cool, bro \u2014 let\u2019s see you do this.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Although he\u2019s no stranger to the lights, camera and action of television production, the swaggering host of \u201cThe Dr. Oz Show\u201d allegedly stumbled while trying to fill the shoes of late question-master Alex Trebek as interim moderator.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oz is one of the many Hollywood hotshots on the carousel of substitutes tapped to temporarily take the\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0emcee podium since Trebek \u2014 who dazzled as the show\u2019s guiding light for 36 years \u2014 died<\/a> of pancreatic cancer in November.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Seaman was originally scheduled to compete on the knowledge-based broadcast in April 2020 with Trebek as host. But her appearance was postponed until late March of this year, owing to the pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the \u201cFinal Jeopardy!\u201d round of one of Seaman\u2019s two games, she claims Oz struggled to pronounced the category title: \u201cAntidisestablishmentarianism.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just couldn\u2019t get it,\u201d Seaman said, noting that the daytime TV medical master had to re-record the segment \u201cseven or eight times\u201d due to his mispronunciation missteps.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd more than that he couldn\u2019t get it, he didn\u2019t know when he hadn\u2019t gotten it, so it kind of seemed like the producers were like, \u2018Are you gonna tell him that we\u2019ve done this six times and he didn\u2019t get it?\u2019 \u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody in the audience\u201d\u2014 which, due to COVID-19 restrictions was made up of upcoming\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0contestants \u2014 \u201cwas like, \u2018That\u2019s not how you say that . . . \u2018 \u201d<\/p>\n

Seaman had no clue Oz would be the ringleader of the show before flying from Houston to Los Angeles to showcase her smarts on \u201cJeopardy!\u201d<\/p>\n

But she was well aware of the controversy his affiliation with the show had caused.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went so far with the COVID protection,\u201d Seaman said. <\/p>\n

She noted the two coronavirus tests (one before her flight and another at the Culver City, California, studio prior to taping), N95 masks provided to all contestants, and social<\/a>-distancing rules\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0producers Harry Friedman and Mike Richards have in place.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were so many precautions, and then they had [Dr. Oz] who touted hydroxychloroquine,\u201d she added, pointing to the doctor\u2019s since-debunked theory that the drug could curb the effects of COVID.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oz\u2019s long-standing reputation for touting pseudo-science<\/a> served as the thesis of a petition demanding his immediate disassociation with the\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0<\/em>brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The call to action, published in February, was co-authored by past contestants and\u00a0signed by more than 600 disgruntled show veterans and enthusiasts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reps for Oz and for\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0have not responded to The Post\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Despite the doc\u2019s bum wrap, when Seaman learned Oz would be at the helm of her episodes, she refused to abandon her\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0dreams.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not getting a call back if you do that,\u2019 \u201d she explained as to why she didn\u2019t storm off set in protest to Oz\u2019s appointment as host.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou walk out of there, and that\u2019s your one chance.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

But, silently, the Harry Potter buff did liken the embattled doctor standing at Trebek\u2019s post to Severus Snape\u2019s taking over for Albus Dumbledore:<\/p>\n

\u201cHow dare you stand where he stood?\u201d she recited. <\/p>\n

Green Bay Packers quarterback and\u00a0\u201cCelebrity Jeopardy!\u201d champion Aaron Rodgers, 37, is currently slaying his two-week tenure as\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0quizmaster.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rodgers, along with 74-time\u00a0\u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a0victor and newly knighted producer Ken Jennings, are reportedly on the short list of who could be named<\/a> the show\u2019s permanent master of ceremonies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The official crowning of the new host is expected to be announced sometime this spring, ahead of\u00a0the \u201cJeopardy!\u201d\u00a038th season premiere in September.\u00a0\n <\/p><\/div>\n
